The wife and I are planning a trip to CA - roughly in the Morro Bay/Pismo Beach area - and I'm wondering if there will be any cool Porsche/911/aircooled events in the overall area during that time. I know about Monterey and that's a consideration, but wondering about other events a bit under the radar. Any suggestions welcomed.

thanks for the idea, but we're hoping to travel in june or august to leave TX during those months. a good time to get away from here!

Don't know of any events, but for a GREAT drive, head to Santa Margarita, pick up 58 to McKittrick. There go 33 South to Ojai, then 150 to Carpinteria and 101, which will take you back.

Even if you don't have your Porsche, nice drive.

Werks Reunion is certainly worth extending your trip for is necessary! I also recommend a visit to the Canepa Museum in Scotts Valley.

Obviously not nearly the same thing, but we are planning a event in late July. You can see our past posts on prior events.

If you are willing to make the trek, there is the monthly EASY event in Emeryville. The July event was today, but you can make it to the next one the first Saturday of August.
