I said screw it and just showed up to the DMV since I couldn't get an appointment until July. What they don't tell you online or over the phone is that all the DMV locations have a Vehicle Verification lane. You just pull your car up—no appointment, no waiting in line. Someone comes right out, takes a look at your VIN number, and hands you a piece of paper. That's it. Don't even have to go inside. Just like smog, took all of 5 minutes.

Congrats again on your car and getting it through the 100's of red tape the idiotic bureaucracy has created.
I think most logical Californian's agree with that statement, terrible governments, taxes, laws, cost of living, housing prices, oh yeah they're also trying to raise the all bridge prices again 3 times in next 3 years to go to so-called " Road and traffic improvements", but money we know will just end up in general fund where every politician can take that money and use on their own pet projects and NOT on what that ballot measure was supposed to do.
