Thinking if I hang on to my Turbo I want to go with a short shift kit. I've tried my buddy's 997 GT3 shifter which seems nice, but I'm not sure it shortens the throws quite enough (though it's nicely priced compared with the others). Do any of you folks have the 997 short shifter or Numeric that would let another rennlist guy try it out? I'd really prefer not to buy something and have to pull it back out after install.

I've got a Numeric set on the middle position and LOVE it. Truly has that 'rifle bolt' feel. Located in the Agoura/Calabasas area and I'll most likely be at Festival of Speed and Luftgekuhlt this weekend if you want to try to connect.

went from stock, to 997, to numeric. Love the numeric, it did take me a bit to get use to, but you also can't go wrong with the 997. Anything is better then the stock unit
