Default NorCal Exhaust Shop

Hey all, I need to have my muffler looked at to resolve a rattle. I'd rather not drop $1600 on a new PSE muffler from Porsche if I can help it and it seems like they aren't available from some resellers anyway.

Any recommendations for a reputable bay area exhaust shop?

The Bay Area is fairly large. For example, it’s over 160 miles from Cloverdale (North Bay) to Gilroy (South Bay).

If you could list which part(s) of the Bay Area you’re most interested in, it’ll help focus any recommendations.

But I imagine any competent Porsche Indy could handle this one.

Good point, MTV to SJ area ideally, but I'm happy to drive to ensure a good job.

I don't have a specific exhaust shop recommendation, but a reputably Indy can handle muffler work (or they'll have recommendations in turn).

For South Bay, I've had good personal experience with:

http://modderman.com

I see a lot of others recommend:

Thanks! My plan is to call a few of the local indies and see who they use, but thought I'd reach out here too. RMG is definitely on the list

Just as an update- none of the local Porsche shops were interested in doing exhaust work, but Dave at Modderman had a recommendation for an exhaust guy. I'll report back how it went.

I’ve used Exhaust Works in Belmont when I had my muffler installed in my Lexus.
I asked for some custom routing as well and he delivered without issue.
