What to do with old plates?

Hello,
I live in Southern California, and recently received the sequential “Legacy” plates, along with validated registration card, which I have ordered through the California DMV website. I have looked all over the web, and found no solution for my old sequential plates. Has anyone dealt with this?
Thanks in advance.

Just curious how long it took for you to receive your Legacy plates? I just ordered mine the other day.

Thanks!

I ordered the sequential Legacy plates (random) through the online DMV site, and took 2 weeks via mail.

Drop them off at a local Auto Club office
