Breakfast at Alice’s, every sunday
I drive up to Alice’s every weekend, sometimes just Saturday or Sunday, sometimes both days. I leave early, between 7:45-8:15 to beat the bicycle crowd. My usual route is:
- Jefferson
- Cañada
- Olive Hill Road
- Kings Moutain Road
- Skyline
From Alice’s, I can go back up to 92 or down to Page Mill Road. Today, I went down 84 to Stage Road in San Gregorio, up Hwy 1 to Tunitas Creek and back to Skyline, then up to 92, to Cañada Road (bicycle sunday is cancelled) and back home. I usually prefer to drive by myself but I’m working on that, today my friend brought his Ferrari 458, which was fun.
If you see a graphite blue GTS in the parking lot at Alice’s, please find me at the counter having breakfast or sometimes just a cup of coffee and say “hi”.

Yeah, I'm staying away from the Woodside area because I'm afraid that I might collide with a cyclist given it's a cyclists' hot spot. I'd rather drive down HWY 1 via 92 and skip the twisties. Would love to do a meet one of these days.

Just don't overdrive your sight lines and you'll be fine. The cyclists up there are generally good about sharing the road.

Leave early and there are few, if any bicyclists out. I was out on Sunday and went past 2 cyclist going up. I enjoy Hwy 1 but would prefer not to be driving in traffic.

Except for the many years away while in the Army, I've been driving Skyline spiritedly. That must be like 40 years. Never had a problem with bicyclists.
Now, being retired, I drive it regularly during the week. Don't do weekends. In fact, just did 92-1-84-1 yesterday with lunch at Alice's. Love their Chili Dog!

Did you happen to make it up this morning? Was there from approximately 9-10 am, but didn't spot you.
Regards,
Karl.
