Default CA Dealer for first Porsche

Hi Everyone - long time listener, first time caller.

I'm in the process of getting rid of my F80 M3 and am very interested in a getting a new 718 Cayman. I was considering either the Cayman S or GTS, but understand that the latter might is not out just yet.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to a good dealer in CA? Doesn't matter if its in Southern California or the Bay Area.

Also, what type of discount should I expect/aim for? I have a fair amount of experience buying/leasing BMW's, but obviously that doesn't translate 1:1 with Porsche.

Appreciate everyones's advice and comments!

Contact CJ at Fresno Porsche. I just had an amazing experience dealing with him and his dealer.

Did you ask this same over on the Cayman forum? You may get better info there, especially about any discount.

Ha! Yes, but they seem to be pretty quiet so far. Basically, just looking for a reputable dealer in CA.

Just bought my first Porsche from Porsche of San Diego. Haydn Howe was great. Very good experience. Huge selection of cars. RJ

Most are reputable if not all. Are you really asking who will give you the best discount, which for high demand models will be negligible?

In the SF Bay Area, i have had good experience with Fremont, Carlsen, and Rector/Burlingame.

Per my sig, you see I have Bimmers, too. In my experience, Porsche dealers do not deal like BMW dealers.

Mostly just looking to find a good dealer. BMW seemed to have a good amount of variance. Good to hear that Porsche is somewhat more standardized across the board. I'd imagine that discount wise, it's more in line with BMW's M cars in that 5-6% off is pretty good.

There is a huge variance between P dealers IMO. Go with a recommendation, they are not all the same. From SA experience to the actually deal you will find a wide variety of experience from someone knowing what they are actually selling, to the guy that has to read the window sticker to answer your questions.
