1995 BMW M3 HPDE Car for Sale
I am considering letting go of my purpose built HPDE car. I have owned this car for over 7 years and since it had 60K miles. It currently sits at 115.8K miles on the chassis, but everything consumable or wearable has been replaced as part of my sincerely overly cautious “while you are in there” mentality to be as completely reliable as possible. Car weighs approximately 2750lbs dry as weighed at Heartland Park and with the square 275 NT01’s and is a missile. I have parts receipts and shop receipts in a binder over 3” thick but to give an overview of parts replacement:
Engine Compartment:
Engine was factory replacement (have $10K receipt) by PO and currently has approximately 65K miles on it.
Head was rebuilt 2 years ago and new elring gasket/ARP headstuds used along with Vanos rebuild/Valve Cover Gasket/Spark Plugs
3” stainless headerback exhaust with Vibrant Resonator and Magnaflow muffler (very smooth and deep sound), along with ebay style longtube headers (V-Bands connecting to section 1). Built last winter (new exhaust gaskets/e90 studs)
All stock engine/tuning for reliability
Steward Water Pump
S54 OFH/Euro Oil Cooler Setup
S54 MCoupe Behr Radiator 3 years ago
Newer Coolant Expansion tank/radiator hoses/heater core hoses
BMW Motorsport thermostat
Electric Puller Fan Conversion
Belts/Pulleys 3 years ago
New PS Hoses this winter
MAF replaced with new Bosch unit 2 years ago
Suspension:
OTS Koni single adjustable shocks
Ground Control Coilover Conversion kit with 550lb Fr/650lb R Spring setup
TCKline Camber Plates/Ground Control RSMs
Turner Front Sway bar (Also have turner rear sway bar separate/running stock rear sway for neutral handling)
AKG RTAB/Sway bar reinforcement plates welded in
Front Tie Rods replaced at
OEM Front XBrace/Active Auto strut tower bar
FCABs upgraded to Treehouse eyeball arms
Meyle HD Front Control Arms this winter
RTABS upgraded to OEM w/Limiters
Complete Rear End overhaul this winter with rebuilt axles/Lemforder Balljoints/Condor Subframe Bushings/Lemforder rear diff bushings/AKG Front Diff Bushing (upgraded bolt)/Rear wheel bearings
SPC Adjustable rear lower control arms
Newer Front Wheel bearings
New ECS Tuning wheel studs this winter
Brakes:
Newish ATE rebuilt calipers all around (RBF 600 fluid)
Hawk DTC 70F/DTC 60R Pad setup
Newish (4 track days) centric rotors with spare backup set
Front Brake Ducting with 3” flexible hose
Body:
Foglight delete plates
Hard Motorsports Fender Flares
JTD Underpanel/OEM lip/knockoff splitters
Sunroof deleted with fiberglass S2rtuning panel painted professionally
Hood Vents for better airflow
Wheels:
Apex Arc8 17”x9.5” wheels wraped in 275/40/17 NT01s
Stock Contours with near new Conti DW’s
Interior:
Kirk Roll Bar w/ 6pt harnesses (drivers side G-Force new this winter/passenger out of date Profi II)
Sparco Ergo M Drivers seat and Sparco Circuit passenger seat (Both near new with no wear)
Stripped interior and thinned wiring harness with front dash/console and front carpet in place.
AC Deleted
Steering wheel lock disabled
Stereo/speakers deleted
ABS door panels
Drivetrain:
UUC SSK rebuilt fairly recently
Newer Guibo/CSB/UUC red tranny mounts with enforcer cups
Gripforce Stage 3 (6pack) clutch/Chromoly Flywheel – Installed 2 years ago
Redline fluids in Diff and Transmission changed every other year
OEM 3.38 LSD from an Auto M3
Car has been EXTREMELY reliable given all the work above, but has some dents/scratches/scuffs consummate of a track day machine. This car is dedicated to doing multiple (4-5) track weekends per year so I have not been concerned with the cosmetic issues. Drivers side has had replacement door/front fender and some previous work on rear quarter. Windshield could use replacement (last one was $180 at Safelight). Have A LOT of the parts removed during this conversion and seller is welcome to as much of the interior trim/AC parts/spare parts as they would like including headliner/door panels/sunroof cassette/etc. Car has been registered/driven in Illinois as recent as last year, and all blinkers/lights/etc function as intended. ZERO Rust anywhere under/around the car, POR15 applied in the battery tray area a year ago to address minor surface rust.
I am in no way in a rush to sell, and thus am FIRM at $11,500. Happy to trailer the car to a local Euro shop to be inspected at the buyers expense. I have been on this forum for a LONG time, and know these cars in and out. Happy to discuss any questions via PM or phone call, just drop me a message and I will reply with my cell phone number. A LOT of photos and track videos are located in dropbox, including many of the car during the previous 7 year buildout!

Does it still have cats in place / will it pass emissions? Thanks.

No cats, exhaust is 3" stainless with a Vibrant center resonator and a magnaflow muffler. Never been emmissions tested, but being OBD1, may have less stringent standards.
Sounds fantastic with zero drone and not obnoxiously loud but agressive.

Is it street-legal? Can I drive it to the track?
Where are you located?
Thanks,
Paul

I have had it registered in IL no problem until i recently let registration lapse due to purchasing a trailer. Headlights, windows, blinkers, etc are still fully functional so should be a fine driver to the track (assuming you are fine with no AC).
I am located in Springfield, IL. Please let me know if you have any further questions!
