I purchased this 911 a little more than 3 years ago as a summer toy. Always reliable and just a joy to drive. The previous owner did the build and I have added a few things since I have owned it. It is a 911E although after reading the list of modification T vs. E. whatever probably doesn’t make much difference to the buyer of this car.
Link to original posting when I purchased the car:

The previous owner sent the shell to be stripped to bare metal and all signs of rust (which were few) were cut out with good metal welded in. The car was painted inside, outside, and underneath with Glasurite paint (paint code 018; Blood Orange or Tangerine). The majority of the modifications done prior to the disassembly, so everything had been fitted previously to assist in reassembly. Since I have owned the car I have added a front Elephant Racing QuickChange Blade front sway bar in a hope of making the front end very quiet with the spherical bushings, I have to say it made no difference. I have the TRG front sway from when I purchased the car which can be included. If you want quiet bars get rubber bushings.
A custom A/C system including a evaporator, dashboard and modified interior, were installed by previous owner and work great.
I have all the receipts from the work (6” stack of paperwork from the previous owners).
Primary features/modifications to the car:
- 964 3.6 rebuilt by Pat Williams (300+ HP)
- 915 tranny rebuilt by Pat Williams with Guards limited slip
- 10,000 RPM tach
- Wevo shifter, rod, coupling, & internal tranny modifications
- Shaved gutters/Steel RS flares
- Strengthened tub via corner braces similar to the factory RS cars & seam welded panels
- Custom bolt-in chromoly roll bar with attachments to B-pillar
- 917/930 brakes & rotors front & rear
- Adjustable front “cheater” shocks, Elephant Racing QuickChange Blade Style Sway Bar
- 21mm torsion bars
- Bilstein rear sport shocks, TRG sway bar, 26mm torsion bars
- Custom made externally adjustable spring plates
- Aluminum trailing arms
- Fuchs 16x7 & 9 wheels – refinished by Harvey Weidman
- Tension style seat belts
- BMW M3 low back sport seats – manual 10 way adjustable with custom leather and orange deviated stitching. Even seatback as covered in leather.
- Metal dash modified to fit 964/993 dash pad with in-dash a/c vents
- Passenger compartment modified to accept new vintage air evaporator
- 964 condenser with fan mounted at driver side battery box area
- 964 oil cooler with fan mounted at passenger side battery box area
- Aluminum ducting fabricated to provide airflow from under car to coolers
- Custom stainless steel exhaust and heat exchangers
- 2 in / 2 out muffler mounted behind license panel (hidden from view)
- Carbon fiber RS heater bypass tube (original blower available if desired)
- Original fuse box with new relays added for lights, fans, coolers, etc.
- All holes for bumper & side trim filled via welding
- battery relocated to smuggler’s box
- Hidden amplifier with MP3 player, FM radio, and wired remote control
- Polk Audio speakers
- Some Sound deadening – It is still pretty loud.
- RS style carpet (AP Biz)
- RS “plus” door panels (AP Biz)
- black headliner
- Momo Prototipo steering wheel
- Traditional RS graphics in silver included, but not installed
- The glass and window trim are original and do have a certain age appropriate patina.
- This care has some very custom work done for cooling and exhaust.
The Bad:
- It drips a few drops of oil after a long drive.
- There are a couple of tiny bubbles in the paint where the rain gutters were deleted (hard to notice but see photos I did my best to capture then)
- Generator Light is not working, but alternator working fine
- Sway Bars are a little noisy
- Car has a light flywheel so the idle hunts when first started. I have two chips the one came with the car and a Steve Wong. The Steve Wong one helps with the light flywheel and normal driving, but the car starts hard. Original chip is harder to drive (you might stall at a light when you are first getting accustom to the lighter flywheel) and the car hunts a lot for idle on startup, but seems to start better.
- The Odometer stopped working last year. I was quoted $165-185 to fix it. Car would have around 7-8K miles since the rebuild
- The custom exhaust that is tucked behind the rear bumper is causing some heat stress crack in the paint close to the louvers right behind it. Well worth it for the fact the muffler doesn't hang below the bumper like in most of these cars.
I am asking $74,000 USD. I am in Canada, but the car is simple to re-import back into the US (+25 years old). I can deliver the car to Houlton, ME where Innercity Lines can pickup. You would have to get brokerage paperwork dealt with before the car arrived at the boarder. I will help as much as I can with that. If you are on the north east you could even do a road trip and drive it home. Please don’t message me if you don’t have the money, your wife is going to block the transaction, would decide not to buy based on anything you have already read, etc…
