Hello I am selling my 993 to make room for the newer Porsche. I have owned the vehicle for a year now and the previous owner owned it for 7. There were 4 previous owners. It is originally a U.S. car.

I have only driven on dry summer days as well the previous owner. It has a clean Carfax .

Below is a list of the extensive improvements and modifications that the previous owner did as well I while I had the car. Most parts were replaced before actually needing to be replaced.

Before I purchased the car the previous owner had just completed an engine and transmission drop where every while you're in there part was replaced - it has no oil leaks. The clutch and flywheel were replaced with a LW Flywheel and clutch by a previous prior owner at 79K miles but due to a leaking RMS the previous owner felt it best to replace it when in his ownership. The suspension work was done a few years ago, but looks like the day it was installed due to the low mileage put on the vehicle.

At some point a prior previous owner had the car re-sprayed due to rock chips and it currently has several rock chips that have been touched up. The paint looks great in pictures, but a close-up examination reveals the stone chips. The previous owner had the front bumper resprayed so he could have the ugly bumperettes removed when he had the RS wing and front splitters painted to match the car. There is some patina on the trailing bottom edge of the wheel wells from driving.

The windshield has a small stone chip that happened on the previous owners drive home from purchasing the car. The rear window area had a small rust bubble, in the common right hand corner, when he bought the car, so when he got it home he cleaned it all away to the bare metal and painted it with touch up paint - most of it is under the weather stripping and it hasn't progressed in 7 years.

Lastly the air conditioner unfortunately does not keep a charge which is fairly common problem with the 993 and a complete service will be needed to completed to get it back in working shape, I for one never need to use the air conditioner. I have been quoted 1500-2000 for this service and parts.

I have a binder of maintenance and part receipts and records as well as an excel file of the maintenance history.

If anyone is looking for a driver’s car this is it.

this is an excellent car. full disclosure - i looked at it last week. i went in looking to find a project - it's been listed for over a month with no action, no under-carriage pics (usually a warning sign) and jon himself refers to it as a driver.

having seen it first-hand, however, this car is not a project whatsoever. it is in excellent condition.

- no idea why it hasn't sold yet.
- under-carriage is immaculate - no corrosion, no drips, no oil smell.
- other than the few imperfections listed in the ad this car is in excellent condition. i think jon undersells it by calling it a driver.

so, bump for a great car and a great seller.

Thanks! Your 993 looks very good. I was previously looking for some Speedline or Tramont wheels to continue with the RS theme.

Jon, thanks for a great buying experience! It was a pleasure working with you.

If anyone is considering buying from Jon, do so with confidence. He was very accommodating for me as I traveled to Toronto first to see the car then a second time as a buyer. The condition of the vehicle was at least equal to his description and I believe he undersold it a bit.

He was very generous when I picked it up. I was going to leave some of the promised spares behind because I refused to have them in the passenger compartment with my daughter in case we had an accident and they became missles. Instead Jon shipped them to Minnesota at his own expense. He paid for my Canadian temp sticker since I only had US money, sent us on our way with bottled water, provided a specific wrench in case I needed to change the belts, and even threw in a portable jumper kit just as a hedge against possible battery trouble. On the way out of town I wanted to verify tire pressures and Jon followed me into the gas station parking lot. He jumped out of his car and gave me exact change for the air compressor, again considering I only had US cash.

Jon is a class act, the car ran great over 1,300 miles home, and the whole transaction was more painless then I had any right to expect.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the feedback Mark. Glad you have been putting the car to great use and I am sure you will continue to build more memories with it and your family. Thanks for being an excellent buyer. Considering we are from different countries, I could not ask for more smooth of a transaction.

Now that the 993 is out of my garage I feel a bit empty. I will probably end up with another one in the future when the space and funds permit! Have fun with the car!!

Regards
Jonathan
