Default 2005 Guards Red 997 Coupe For Sale

Year: 2005
Make: Porsche
Model: 911

Location (Region): SouthEast
Body Style: Coupe
Transmission Type: Manual - 6 speed
2 or 4 Wheel Drive?: 2 Wheel Drive
Engine Type: Fuel Injection
Stereo System: AM-FM CD

My 997 is a super clean, well sorted example of the 997. Guards Red over black, 77,500 miles. Everything works as it should. The interior is probably a 7.5-8 out of 10, while the exterior is the same.

I bought the car two years ago and shipped it out to Monterey for Rennsport Reunion. Afterwards, a buddy and I drove our cars back to the east coast. The car ran flawlessly, 3,500 miles, averaged over 24MPG.

Prior to my ownership the following upgrades were added to the car:
• Fabspeed cold air intake.
• H&R lowering springs.
• Lobster claw wheels.
• Porsche alcantara steering wheel and shift ****. Also Porsche pedals.
ALL of the original parts that were removed to install these upgrades were kept and go with the car.

During my ownership I have done the following:
• New windshield, OEM glass.
• New Battery.
• New coil packs.
• PTX transmission fluid.
• Fuel system professionally cleaned.

Based on this post (see reply #14) and engine number, the car has the later “big bearing" IMS.

I have owned Porsche's since 1971 and this is one of the best I have owned. If you are looking for an above average driver, this is a “no disappointments” car. It is ready to drive and enjoy.

The car is in Williamsburg, VA. Feel free to PM me for my email or phone to discuss the car. VIN: WP0AA29995S7163H7

$29,250.00.

Man such great value here, someone will get to drive around in a super looking P-car for less than 30K .. if it wasn't for my GT3 plans.. I'd be a buyer. Best of luck.

Nice car! From the side view pic, looks like the door and fender color do not match the quarter. Was there a re-paint?

Thanks for all the kind comments about the car.

SWC99, I think the color variation is the angle of the late afternoon sun. There is no paintwork, to my knowledge, on the car. It is really excellent in person.

Figured I'd respond here Hal. Thanks for your great communication on the car. I think it is going to be a great addition to the family (for my BIL). We are just working out a pickup schedule and should be good to go very soon.

Is it just me, or are the early year 997's and late model 996's coming to a point? Love this 997 in GR with the lobsters. Congrats to the new/future owner.
