I custom ordered this car and took delivery in October 2014. I moved from Florida to Atlanta in mid 2015 (and paid over $11k in sales tax within a 9 month period...). Currently has 4220 miles but may increase slightly.
Original owner, ONLY driver. Aside from the Porsche techs that drove the car to the service bays for oil changes, no one else has driven this car. No valets, no test-drivers at the dealership, etc. Adult driven car used periodically to commute to work. No track time whatsoever. ZERO Over-revs (see DME report).
No accidents, no stories, no pets, no smoking, never raced. I did use some Porsche touch up paint to fill in a few small chips underneath the wheel wells.
Oil/filter change on Oct 1, 2015 with 2747 miles. Another oil/filter change on Feb 27, 2017 with 4173 miles.

If you have any questions, please email me at askterry at G*M*A*I*L*dot*C*O*M. Email is better than PM as I don't check messages that frequently.
Thanks.

Thanks elombard.
Georgia used to offer a tax credit if you recently paid tax on the same car in another state...but they changed the law right before I moved. So I got to pay tax in both Florida and Georgia.

I don't understand why you would have to pay sales tax on a car you already own? I am confused, but then again, I live in Oregon, and we have no such thing as sales tax. Makes buying cars a lot less stressful....

It's technically an ad valorem tax, but you now have to pay it whether you are buying a car or transferring a car from another state. Before they changed the law a few years ago, they didn't charge anything if you moved to GA and had your car for over a year prior to the move; and if you had the car less than a year, they would give you a credit for any tax you paid to another state. With the new law, you have to pay no matter what. 7%!!!!

If I had to pay sales tax on any car purchase, I would likely just drive my current car until the wheels fell off! No wonder people love moving here!

One of the many downsides of moving to GA. Work transferred me here a few years ago and I paid over $6,000 in sales tax on two vehicles I owned free and clear.
