Clean. Very nice! Good unmolested ones don't come around very often.

Very nice example. I will ask a dumb question but what made this model so special? Is it all about light weight, more power, etc.... similar to todays RS's?

Me thinks the proverbial can of worms has been opened.....
However, on a more serious note....

Cult following......
A great looking/Driving 964 that people love.
But it not worthy of an RS badge in my opinion.
I used to drive the RS America and then the Euro RS. Felt like two different cars. The driving characteristics have little in common.

GLWS and the car looks very stock to me.
FWIW: Back then in the US that is all that we could get. At the time Deutche Mark was very very strong and the PCAR prices were uber high due to exchange rate, AND, PAG was busy pimping their cars with AWD and Tiptronics for the US market. (rings a bell?...PDK...)
The RSA was a breath of fresh air for us. I managed to buy a new white '93 out of Holt Porsche in Rochester NY and shipped it out west to my home. To me this was as good as it got at that time, I paid ~$45K and that was my first Porsche car...

^ u smarter than i
it was 1993. i wanted a p car.
went to neigherbon porsche in oakland.
they had a zero option RSA next to a highly equipped red on tan cab
i looked at the RSA. wow no ac, no leather, no sunroof. what moron would buy that pos. i promptly drove the red cab home....
so now i am making up for my mistake
1. i do not buy red car with tan interior. you can give me a 918 free if it's that combo, i will decline politely
2. since my cab was loaded. now i go out of my way to have low option car

Sold a 997C2S w/M030 to buy a low 20k black RSA w/ all 4 options for 40k in 2001. Absolutely loved it; an autocross car to be dealt with back in the day. Only drawback was lack of cruise on long trips...even in my younger days that was a pain in the ankle.
Sold it in 2003 for what I paid for it...felt good about that at the time; apparently, based on current asking prices, made a slight error not keeping it.

My man Mooty...red convertible with tan interior! Did you blow dry your hair back then too?
(Sorry to all the Mooty disciples. I have nothing but respect for the man! )
Sorry to the OP: Let me make this up by putting in a plug for Joe Benner the GM at the dealership. My broker horsetraded a car for me there about 5 years ago.
