The non-op fan diagnosis was incorrect.

Next is to check the wriring from controller to amplifier, and then double-check that the controller is doing its thing...

No-op fan diagnosis was incorrect, but a n'used fan logic control module finally did the trick! Yay!

That is a beautiful car sir, have always loved those.
Super clean, low miles and kudos on the very thorough ad!
I wish I had the time to be that thorough with all of mine..
GLWS!

I can't stop looking at your avatar.

I suddenly have the inexplicable desire to smoke Marlboros...

There's actually a thread on here somewhere devoted to my avatar. I was told not to change it - ever.

I'm going to have the timing belt replaced at the end of the month, along with the usual maintenance stuff (oil & filter, etc).

After much research and considering the hit-or-miss quality of the currently available water pumps, I have decided that the wisest course of action is to check the Porsche water pump in there now and only replace it if there is a problem with it. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Damn, with all the info you've posted and the care you've put into the car I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet. Hopefully you find the right buyer soon, GLWS

Hey, this works in my favor... she's a blonde, so I can tell my wife "I thought of you when I saw her!"
