1967 Porsche 912 – VIN 460059 Polo Red with black interior; short wheel base, long nose, five speed and five gauge; Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. This car was purchased from a local (Durham, NC) collector who had the car stored for the past 15 years in a climate controlled warehouse with 40 other cars. The vehicle was restored in the late 90’s including complete body re-spray to a very high standard at Coachwork by E & E, Inc. (Durham). The paint and body are in near perfect condition with no rust anywhere on the vehicle. At that time, the car was finished with an all-black ‘S’ trim and bumper kit along with a new black dash cover and headliner with black visors were installed with new black carpeting. The original black vinyl seat covers are in excellent condition.

The car is well-sorted mechanically with no current needs. The engine starts easily with no smoke and the twin dual Weber carbs help maximize the power and torque of the original motor mated to the original five speed gear box which is exceptionally smooth and solid for its vintage.

Since owning the car, many mechanical issues associated with a car sitting for an extended period of time have been addressed, including:

- Tear down and refurbishing the Weber carburetors
- Installation of a new Porsche clutch and adjusted shift linkage/bushings
- Complete renovation of the fuel system from tank to engine including refinishing, sealing and painting the original fuel tank, replacing all fuel lines, adding a supplemental fuel filter and refurbishment of the original mechanical fuel pump using Ethanol compliant parts
- Renovated braking system with updated dual chamber master cylinder
- Replaced accelerator pedal, linkage and bushings

Other work completed:
- Installed new battery, spark plugs, ignition wires, valve cover gaskets
- Recently replaced cone seal on gear box and replaced gear oil
- Oil and filter change
- Refurbished speedometer and repaired odometer by Palo Alto Speedometer
- New Vredestein Sprint Classic tires with matching spare on original chrome steel wheel
- Re-bled braking system and replaced brake fluid

Many original parts and supplies convey upon sale including original front bumper and original hub caps. High resolution photos can be viewed at:

Additional photos available. Asking $39,000, but can negotiate.
