I have one that looks almost exactly like that, except it's an '04! They are great cars.

Chipped--either now or in the past? Any engine mods?

no...not in the five years we've owned it and no sign of that when I bought it...that's what unique about this car...its original...I bought it for him to take to college...overkill > yes! So it sat in his garage a lot...its posted on Craig's List in the SF Bay Area section..more input wanted? I can have Travis call you..

Nope, no more info needed on my end. Have a friend I'm sending the link to. Rare to find one unmolested.

would love one of these, but the prices for a 10+ year old subaru STI are just insane. (and unreasonable) Can pick up an 05 M3 for less than that... with less miles.

GLWS though

You can pick up 05 m3 for less than this, you sir must be talking salvaged/smg/convertible cars.

Having owned both Subies and BMWs, I can pretty much guarantee that the STi is going to be a helluva lot cheaper to own, they're well built and very reliable. No SMG pumps to burn out, window regulators to replace etc. It it as sexy as a E46 M3? That's always debatable...

I sold a 2007 WRX STi last Fall in preparation of buying my 996TT, and I pretty much got back what I paid for it in '10 (low 20s). They are indeed holding their value well..

GLWS!

I had an '05 STI. I traded it in on a BMW 335i. What a mistake. I missed that car. They hold their value incredibly well. I bought a 2013 in the fall of 2012, and just gave it to my son. He loves that car. I'd take it over an '05 M3 anytime. If my 5 car garage wasn't already full, I'd take it!

Unfortunately I already have a sixth car parked outside. Our winters are brutal for cars left outside. Thanks for the thought though.

Also had one of these. Miss it every day. Only problem was piston ring-land failure. This car never being modded probably is ok. I've got a 2015 WRX as my daily now. Subaru makes great cars. And if you do want to go faster, an exhaust and a tune gets you a ton of extra power. GLWS

I am under pressure from the significant other to reduce our car inventory, not increase it.
