This car is a competitive and sorted 2009 example which incorporates changes over earlier cars including upgraded engine case, transaxle, updated exhaust, and revised rear wing with Gurney flap. The car completed the SCCA National Championship Runoffs in October 2014, driven by Fantasy Junction’s Spencer Trenery, and was the highest finishing Porsche in the entire event (and finished second only to the tube frame Corvette of Phoenix Racing). Prior to the Fantasy Junction ownership, the car was previously run by TPC Racing (Michael Levitas, Randy Pobst, David Williams) and was raced in the IMSA Yokohama support series. Its log book shows that it raced actively in 2011, driven by James Hoddinott at Sebring, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, and Mosport. The car also raced at Sebring in 2012 and Watkins Glen in 2013. The car placed second in the 2013 Gold Class of the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge Series.
The current specifics include the following:
Approximately 47 hours on sealed engine and transaxle, which were built by Porsche Motorsports North America (PMNA)
Sealed PMNA ECU
Re-tubbed in 2012 with factory replacement 2009 shell and cage
Straight chassis with perfect corner weights
Updated front monoball suspension
Upgraded Motec ADL 2 Pro logging dash and data system with brake pressure senders and steering position sensor
Motorsports Sachs adjustable shocks
One weekend on rebuilt brake calipers with new ceramic pistons at all four corners
One weekend on rebuilt front struts
Two weekends on fresh rotors and Pagid green pads at all four corners
Hard wired for in car video (camera not included)
Fuel Safe fuel cell, window net, and belts are current
Additionally, the car comes with a timing beacon, used spare splitter, two sets of spare wheels, one used lower control arm, four used rotors, a full set of spare used brake pads, air jacks want, a cool suit (shirt not included), and miscellaneous other small items.
The car was recently set up by Tom Wickersham of Competition Autowerks and is both turnkey and very competitive. It is the most technically sophisticated and competitive Porsche eligible for SCCA GT2 competition and is also ideal for PCA, SCCA club, and endurance racing. Cosmetically, the car is white beneath its peel off graphics and has race car cosmetics with normal wear to the bodywork and front windscreen. It comes with PCA and SCCA log books as well as set up sheets.
Interesting street car trades considered, up or down.
