1997 E36 M3
103k Miles
Arktisgrau-Metallic/Grey Alcantara M cross-stitch
No Sunroof

= Rarest E36 M3 in North America!

About the car: I am the second owner. I purchased this from the original family who ordered this M3 through the BMW Individual Program. This car has one off paint from the BMW factory, as well as the rarest interior and most desirable interior - Alcantara M cross-stitch. Previous owner was BMW and PCA club member with a large collection of performance cars. Aside from the one off paint and rare interior, this M3 is NOT equipped with a sunroof saving extra weight - very desirable.

Modification and condition report: (Overly critical to state the exact state of the car. Let's be real, this is a 15 year old car.)

Exterior: 9/10
-Hardly any road rash, rock chips.
-Normal wear and tear of 97' model sports car.
-Normal E36 window molding wear from sun.
-Small clear quote fade below driver side passenger window.
-Driver side quarter panel has had slight paintwork according to previous owner. Very high quality job, not noticeable.
-Rear bumper has slight fade in some light. Hard to tell.
-Minimal small dings (maybe 2 or 3) on exterior.
-2 small dings on roof.

Interior: 9.5/10
-All components (A/C, Radio, Windows, Locks, etc.) are in perfect working order.
-Seats are in perfect condition.
-Rear seats haven't been sat in.
-Roll cage pinches rear seats (no cuts or tears).
-95' M3 center console eliminating arm rest.
-OBC in working order.
-Cloth on door panels sags. Fixable by glue.

Modifications:
-OEM Clear corner lights, side markers, and tails.
-Reiger GT front lip (normal wear and tear).
-18x8.5 TR Motorsport wheels (brand new Bridgestone tires).
-10mm Burger Tuning wheel spacers.
-M50 Manifold
-Conforti 3" CAI w/ carbon fiber heat shield.
-Supersprint replica cat-back.
-DEPO projector glass headlights (OEM color, no ricey HID).
-Half roll cage.
-Schroth Barnesses (Not installed; come with the car).
-Light window tint (Legal).
-BimmerWorld silicone intake boot.
-Traction control delete (95' M3 cig. lighter (deletion of traction button as 95 M3s did not come w/).
-Koni front and rear struts with Eibach race springs.
-Dinan Strut Bar
-Fire extinguisher mount.
-UUC 3-way adjustable rear wing.
-OEM wide-angle mirror lens.

...I think that's it.

-Maintenance

This car was previously supercharged. This M3 has an OBD1 conversion on it's original OBD2 M3 motor.
The OBD1 conversion includes:
-OBD1 wiring harness (this allows you to chip the car opposed to flashing).
-OBD1 M3 valve cover (no idea why this was done, but this is indeed the original 97' M3 motor).

-I returned the car back to stock form because I am not a fan of F/I. I spent a lot of money replacing many, many parts to get this M3 in top mechanical condition.

Highlight of maintenance items: (note, this does not cover all maintenance I have done simply the 'important' items)

-Oxygen sensor
-Clutch Slave Cylinder
-Guibo
-Clutch Kit
-Clutch Pivot Pin
-Pilot Bearing
-Brake Pads
-Radiator Hose
-Spark Plugs
-New rear Koni shocks

What will this car need in the future?
-New front Koni struts.
-I would replace the mid-pipe and replica cat-back. It is loud! Mid-pipe is showing age.

---I have every single piece of documentation that has been with this car since 1997. I even have the communications between the prior owner and BMW about the car's arrival to the dealership. All service records included with the sale of the car---

PPIs are more than welcomed! E-mail with any questions, or to set up a time to check out the car.

No tire kickers please.

Price: $12,000..

Selling because I am looking to upgrade to an E46 M3. Possibly a loaded up late model ZHP as well.
