I am proud to present my beautiful 993 Coupe based in Austin, Texas for sale. This car appears original yet comes with tons of upgrades, is impeccably maintained and is truly "turn key." It has upgraded Autothority performance chip, Dansk sport exhaust, Bilstien suspension, 993 Targa wheels. I upgraded the stereo and speakers but still have the original cassette/radio.

This car spent the majority of its life in Texas although originally delivered in Oklahoma so there is no corrosion. The original owner had the car for about 9 years and I have owned her for the past 8 years. She is straight, never been tracked and has always been garaged as a second car so the midnight blue interior is in good shape. I recently had the seats, steering wheel & handbrake dyed. The dash and panels have no cracks. The front brakes & suspension upgrade was completed just a few months ago by TPWS. Comes with car cover & bra. BF Goodrich tires are in great condition and the AC blows very cold - even in the Texas heat. The bulk of the maintenance has been performed by Northwest Imports (and TPWS) here in Austin. The previous owner had the car maintained at Park Place Porsche in Dallas. I have all maintenance records scanned although invoices from Park Place didn't scan well.

Important Note: There is a discrepancy with the accurate mileage on the car and what the odometer reads. I bought the car knowing this and will provide the previous owners name to verify if needed. The original owner had a faulty speedometer/odometer replaced by the dealer on July 31, 1997 at 13,133 and this is documented in maintenance records. Currently the odometer reads ~44K; however, the true mileage is closer to 57K. When I purchased the car in September 2004 I had the title transferred to my name and updated it with Texas DMV to reflect the true mileage of 38,100 (at the time.)

General:
• No Damage History
• Never Tracked
• Always passes emissions
• Maintenance records available (scanned)
• Original sticker available (scanned)

I put some photos on the link below. I will add some interior pics over the weekend.

I owned a similar car in the late 90's and glad to see the value of the 993 holding strong. I sold mine in 2003 for $34k.

Default Test Driven

I spent the last two days reviewing and test driving this car. I live in Austin, and have always been interested in getting a 993. Bottom line - this is a really solid car.
It has an almost flawless exterior and interior. The motor sounds great and has no flat spots in the rev band- it pulls pretty hard. Everything worked in the cockpit, and the AC blew so cold that I turned it down (it was in the low 90's here today). The suspension has new Bilsteins and the car tracks straight and corners well. Both mechanics that I talked to knew the car and the owner, and said that the owner worked hard to keep his car up to spec as far as repairs and maintenance. The only thing that I found that wasn't perfect about the car was the 3 or 4 pea-sized oil drips on the garage floor, which the owner showed me as he explained the seeping valve cover syndrome with 993.

Overall a really solid 993.

So...why didn't I buy it? I have a '86 930 that I've had for less than a year. Even though the 993 has better handling, a better transmission, better creature comforts, and more versatility, I am not yet over the thrill of the 930 when the power spools up. But when I am, I will look for a 993 just like this one.

Thanks for the post John. It was nice meeting you - and driving your car while you had mine. Would have been nice to keep the car local...
