Ed, did I read the dyno on this car right, I think it shows peak output of 350 SAE HP? I have the NA version of this car and I'm pretty sure the stock numbers for the 16 and 32V heads are 309 and 292 respectively, so I'll conclude the supercharger adds approximately 40HP over stock?

I know these numbers are from the 2011 prototype, have you done any tuning since?

Thanks,

Car is long sold and not in a working condition at the moment. Contact Andrew Olsen (AO) who is the new owner.

Hey Sean, thanks for replying. I more or less guessed the car was long since sold, but I am interested in the performance numbers anyway, in fact I'm just about to post a "Turbo or Supercharge?" thread to get some feedback on the numbers people have seen.

I've almost finished restoring my '85 and now I'm trying to decide what to do next; either build the donor car for the track or part it out and buy a 944 (and build it for the track). I have some idea what I can get out of a 944 3.0L turbo so I can do some rough power/weight calcs for it, I don't have much on a blown 928, which is why I'm digging through these older reports.

Sean, you bring up another good point here, which is how to compare these different numbers from all the sources. It was good to see a dyno chrt for this build, the numbers I used to compare it with were the ones published by Porsche, which you more or less impugne with your post.

Going through this exercise it's more important for me to use consistent numbers than it is to use accurate ones if you get my drift; I'm trying to understand the relative performance gains possible using the different approaches rather than absolute numbers.

So I think using your figure of 288hp at the crank (vs. Porsches claim of 309) we could say this build provided a 21% power increase of the standard Euro 16V at the crank.
