Despite being a little flippant in my post, I also said MSRP but had my post removed and got a warning. Guess I hurt someone's feelings. Maybe Rennlist isn't the resource I had taken it to be all these years.

Guess if you’re not a cheerleader you’re expendable.

Last time I checked, a Porsche dealer isn't obligated to sell any car to anyone for MSRP or lower. Why do people get so butthurt over this? Last time I checked, private party sellers are doing the same thing. Why not jump on them too? If you don't want to pay the ADM, move on. If the demand is there, they'll sell to someone else. If not, they'll sit and the prices will come down accordingly. Haven't read most of the deleted comments, but snide remarks aren't going to miraculously cause the prices to drop.

I'm not butt hurt at all. Everything in life is based on supply and demand. All I posted was that I was seriously interested at MSRP and my post was deleted. I dont care what price anything is listed for. I think its ridiculous that all I did was respond as a serious buyer and because of politics (likely sponsored poster) it gets deleted.

My comment was deleted on a GT4 for sale ad, where I didn't even comment on the price. The car had an options list a mile long, which the seller posted, so I said that was the highest MSRP GT4 I think I've seen - the seller was offering it BELOW MSRP so I don't understand how my comment was even interpreted as negative.

well, the dealer did say they are open to offers. Since when is MSRP not an offer?? why do those post get deleted? IF thats the case, OP SHOULD state that in the ad that "open to reasonable offers, which is at least xxxxx over MSRP"

I got the slap down too and my post removed as well. Many of us know John and I’m pretty sure he understands where we are coming from. He said as much...

guys it is a FS post... no need for these conversations to be inside a FS ad..
if you go to a vehicle auction, do you see people standing up to comment on it, and not bid? it's different but still, respect is a formality apparently...
and not to say I'm not a hypocrite, as I've commented (positively) on FS ads, but don't carry on conversations, cluttering up what should only be facts and history.
