few Q's 1 was passenger outside mirror added during restoration or was it on COA? 2 I thought for 72 the front blinder and fog light grilles were black not chrome, pls confirm? 3. no seat belts for rear seats? thx |
Chrome is correct for a 72, black was used on 73's. I don't think the seat inserts are correct for 72 however.

All trim went from silver to black in mid year 72. An early 72 would be silver accents, and a late 72 would be black. If the rest of the trim is black, the fog light grills should be also. As with all restorations, to each their own, perhaps this person prefers chrome grills. The rear bumper horns are euro, sans rubber trim, the interior of the door edges are not blacked out etc. etc., but they are also not saying it is 100% historically correct, just that it is a beautifully restored S, which it is. |

The mirror was added prior to the restoration. 2 I thought for 72 the front blinder and fog light grilles were black not chrome, pls confirm? The front bumper is a proper 1972 911S bumper with all proper and period correct trimmings. 3. no seat belts for rear seats? This was optional, this particular vehicle did not have them. thx |
Correct on both accounts, this particular 1972 911S has the factory very rare black Recaro seats.
