Hi all,

I am listing my Seattle based 218k miles daily driver 993 4S. I love this car to bits. I co-own it with a very good friend of mine. We own 2 964s and the 993, and we decided to keep the 964s and sell the 993 to get a daily instead.

The 993 is definitely a driver. I drive it aggressively every day, rain or shine. It has never ever failed me. At almost 220k miles the paint in the front shows the age… it was never repainted, someone might want to do it. Carfax also shows an incident. I was indeed involved in a fender bender on i5 and the rear bumper had to be replaced (done by Mark Akers in Seattle, I have all the photos).

I just took it to Chris German Auto in Redmond for a pre sale PPI and sure enough, it will probably need a reseal at one point, but nothing urgent (ppi available via PM). Other than that, as Chris documented in the PPI, the car drives perfectly, like any other perfectly fine 993. I had the transmission fluid and oil change done.

Engine is stock. Exhaust is stock. Suspension are Bilstein HDs with M030 springs. I have the golden rod and the ssk from Fister. Wide ovals are new and OEM. It is coming with a set of brand new Conti Extreme contact and a set of Blizzaks. Everything works great: AC, Stereo, roof, Seats, Immobolizer is new and so are the starter and battery

On the anecdote side, I sold the 993 before to a dear friend of mine, and was able to buy it back from him last year… I believe it was karma and I would love it to go to another great care taker.

I honestly did not know what price to list the car at given the mileage. It is an honest car, with nothing to hide. Not a $100k car, but not a $45k car either. I hope someone here will want to take it home and add another 220k miles to it.

Shoot me any questions, no problem.

Thanks, Pierre.

I forgot to describe the wheels. They are the hollow/technology wheels. 2 of them have curb rash and will need to be refinished.

I think it's bad *** that you have 200k plus miles on this car. That's a lot of driving! Really cool.

Thanks!
It's a liberating thing to have a high miles 4S. You don't care about adding more miles. You enjoy driving it like it is meant to be driven... in any conditions.

Hey, I'm local and would like to meet you and see your 993 C4S. I'm looking for a driver and your mileage fits the bill. I don't want to pay a premium for a garage queen. Please text me at 646-875-8498. I'm in Bellevue, WA. PCA Member.

The car is sold... to me!

About an hour before I met with fellow rennlister sanfranman yesterday, having detailed the car for it to be ready to go, I had a massive change of heart.... I just can't sell it!

Sanfranman was very understanding and we still went for a nice spirited drive together.

I apologize for having wasted some of the interested parties time! I just felt like I was going to make a mistake I would regret.

I will add many more thousands of miles to her and will keep the spirit alive.

Now, I may have to sell the 964...we'll see.

Some pics from our get together. Thanks Larry!

What a lovely story!
Strange is this connection between man and machine.. and what a machine!
Enjoy it in good health; and be sure to post the milestones you and your black beauty go through.
