Sticks to the track like glue. Must be the Carbon Fibre Wheels.
Nice car. Don't know much about these on the track. Any opinions on track use? I've seen a couple at DE's. but only a couple.
OP, GLWS....

I had one for a little over a year and got rid of it for my 991.2 GT3 w/Manual. The GT350R is one of my favorite cars I have ever driven, absolutely love it and wouldn't have traded it for anything but the manual .2 GT3. It does great on the street (low front lip scrapes a bit) and even better on the track. The track performance is not far off the 991 GT3's and it has a sound and feel that must be experienced first hand. They are easy to drive and really do stick like glue in the corners. The only complaint I had was it's a little too heavy, it doesn't feel like a heavy car on the street or track, but on the track it went through brakes and tires at twice the rate the GT3 does due to the additional lbs. Below is a link to a video of me in the R at Barber, that sound!. I say go for the R if you are considering it, this is a really good price and nothing compares to it for the money.

How much does the R weigh anyway?

Had one for a year as well. One of the finest motors I have ever driven and maybe on par with what Porsche offers for specialness. Flat plane crank V8 out of this world. Maybe the best track car value ever. If you can adjust to the size and weight of the car and the build quality you will adore the car. If that stuff bothers you it will keep you from owning it forever. Best sounding car I have owned. Everybody should try one or drive one once! People stopped me to look at it as much as my 911.

Love these.... absolutely love these. I was at a Ford dealer once dropping my F150 off. Service center had an enclosed drop area for vehicles. One of these (non-R) fired up while I was there - that exhaust note is unreal. I love the EP on my 997TT, but...just no comparison. The Ford is brilliant...

I concur. I have a 350R and it is a dedicated track car. It is very competitive at the track and even though it is heavy - it doesn't drive like it. I do agree about brakes and tires. It eats them up. I have found that running the Porsche Spec Cup 2's - they do last longer. I have been going back and forth mentally about getting a 991.1 GT3 but wondering if I will regret it or not.
