After 19 years of ownership I have decided it's time to sell my 1995 Slate Grey 993. When I purchased the car in 1999, it had 41k miles and I was the fourth owner. Around 102k miles , first gear went, so I had the transmission rebuilt along with a top end rebuild to deal with worn valve guides. I decided since it was apart, I would do a complete engine rebuild.

The car was completed in 2014 and since then has had about 1k miles a year put on it. The car drives great, everything works. I have all paper work from my time of ownership, and it comes with a spare set of original cup 2 wheels. Since the rebuild, I don't drive the car as much as I used to so I want see it go to an owner who will enjoy it.

I was selling Porsches in 1995 and don't remember Slate Gray as a standard color. Maybe I've forgotten. Was it standard or PTS in '95?

slate gray on a 993 seems rather unique. i typically consider than more of a 964 color.

the kinesis wheels, and their color, look great on a slate 993. glws.

I could've sworn a PTS Slate Gray 993 was listed on RL over the summer. F1 Tifosi maybe?

Either way, GLWS. This is a beautiful and well kept example. Will make someone very happy.

I've seen at least one other 993 C2 in slate grey or slate grey metallic, (maybe earlier MY) and I think a 993 turbo for sale on eBay recently in the same color. OP GLWS, seems to be well sorted and great example of enthusiast maintained

It has come to my attention that Carfax has this car listed as Stolen. I have owned this car since May of 1999, and can say it has never been stolen. I'm currently working with Carfax to correct this misinformation. Please contact me if anyone has questions.

I wish you luck, its very hard, they (carfax has tons of misinformation-) a friend of mine they had his m3 listed as have 143k vs 43k miles, found out when he went to sell it. i honestly find carfax not that useful, theres tons of wrecked cars that don't go though insurance or some moron doing an inspection putting the wrong milage, the idea is good but it shouldn't be a tell all say all.
'

I always say PPi and buy a car with a maintace history- usually from friends or in the forums where people post and take care of those cars and have them for years, spend little upfront and you'll save big in the long run.

its kinda like the 928

porsche was pushed for a h2o cooled update. to them 993 tech was outdated. still air and oil cooled.

50 year old tech with some newer stuff. the body was nearly identical for the last 30 plus years, its an evolution it evolved but never changed- thats what makes these cars special to me.

the 996 isn't horrible but to me is not a 993 replacement- the lights on the front are horrible- and the IMS bearing issue, other then that its not a bad car, 997 is a much better looking car.

they messed up with the lights . just my 2 cents
