I originally set out for a 996 GT3 before getting my Turbo. Before I begin down the slippery slope of modding this car with suspension, exhaust, seats I want to get back in the hunt for a 996 GT3 or other RWD, N/A Porsche.
Basic Information
- 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo, 6 speed - Seal Grey, Grey leather interior/black carpet
- VIN:
- 51,800 miles (Purchased Jan 2018 at 45,475 miles) I drive this car so the miles will continue to increase.
- Sunroof
- Heated Seats
- Bose
- Clean CarFax - No accidents
- No track time/Winter driving
- Original Paint
- Clear bra on front bumper, headlights, partial hood and fenders, mirror caps, door edges
- The car has always been garaged under my ownership and hand washed/detailed.
Prior to my purchase in January 2018 the dealer replaced the following notable items-
- Outer radiators
- Clutch accumulator
- Tires - pilot sports
- Plugs
- Fluids
- Wipers
During my ownership all the following was done by the Porsche Dealer or Independent Porsche mechanic-
- Transmission rebuild - Brian Copans of BMC&G. I went all out and did 8 of the 10 bearings in the transmission while we had it apart. Gearbox is good for all the miles I could ever want to add, no corners cut, rebuilt for the long term ownership.
- OEM Clutch, OEM pressure plate, OEM throw out bearing - done when the dealer had the transmission out and apart BEFORE Brian Copans rebuilt it - (Long story)
- Window Regulator - new OEM
- Front center grill and clean radiators - because of removed k40 radar system
- Rear 3rd brake light - gasket was failing
- Remove K40 radar system and replaced any interior parts that were altered with new OEM.
- New battery April 2019
- Replaced missing cigarette lighter (cannot stand looking at an empty hole in the dash)
- Oil change - Motul 5W40 - April 2019 - 49,284 Miles
- New OEM 997 Turbo transmission mount - April 2019
- RSS Motor mounts - April 2019
- OEM 997 shifter
- Numeric Racing shift cables
- G box detent
Stock parts included in sale:
- Shift cables
- Motor mounts
- Shift console

The deviating carpet (black) really helps out the graphite grey interior!

I think it's just the right amount of contrast. The grey also ages better than the black leather (IMO). If it were a black interior it would be very easy to swap my Recaro pole positions out of my other car, but black leather Recaro buckets against grey would clash too much. Too bad, because I even have the Brey Krause brackets for a 996 just sitting in my basement.
