at $63k the GTS would have gotten my attention- head to WI, test/PP It and put a deposit on it /love the color combo & MT
yes, its true the GTS is a bit overrated/overpriced since its a limited production 997, Porsche intended to produce a few levels in their models, not an accident!
the C4S is a nice option specially a '12 or '11 w/ a Fab Speed intake that adds ~15 to 20hp it becomes a bargain P-car
The 997.1 or 997.2, to me, are the next gen 993s, it evolved some but has that true Porsche communication with the driver...
997.2 fits me well w/ leg & head room; 991 fits well also but that gen car is 'too soft', and without the true Porsche feel, (road feel, cornering, engine etc);
I've felt detached the few times I've been behind the wheel
The console tells me its presenting a marketing image, not the track car it should be- for that its the GT3 or Turbos, as you stated
So I will stay on top of the search w/ optons:
A) 997.2 C4S MT
B) 997.2 GTS MT
if you come across let me know...
I do scour the web often.

GTS is overrated. I have driven one, and it is nice, but...GT4 blows it out of the water for not much more. More precise, more involvement, lighter, better suspension: more of everything people want out of the GTS. Best of all, you can actually get your pick of color and spec. You can also easily find a car with buckets. For GTS money if you need a 997 I would look at a 997 GT3. Now THAT is a special car.
If you really need a 997.2 with 4 seats, I say save the $ and get a C2S. Find one with S-PASM and sport seats; it is basically the same car.

Three Wheelin'
This one just popped up recently. https://nationalpreownedporsche.com/...tallic+7216383
The 4 GTS is nice, but I have a 4S, have driven a 4 GTS, and cannot tell a difference. Of course, mine has PSE and the other stuff a GTS would have. It doesn't have X51, but X51 alone isn't worth that kind of scratch.

Renn listers-
the 4 GTS MT CPO is at South Shore Porsche, Freeport LI-NY
Also, there is a '12 GTS PDK w/~28k miles and its Blk/blk
its $10k less than the 4 GTS
*GTSs are the 'high end neighborhood'

I have a guards red with alcantara and 45k miles. Has everything you're looking for. No curb rash on the CLs or body work, covered half bra. Front bumper and hood repainted for rock chips prior to my ownership, I think by Niello Porsche. Lifetime California car, I am the 4th owner. I'm located in San Francisco in case that's a dealbreaker. I was thinking of holding onto it at least another 6 months but since I saw this I figured I'd put it out there. Thanks, Chris
I’m interested in your car, could you email me some pics?

Well, I'm sad to report that it's official; The seller I was working with turned out to be a double dealing liar. After we had reached an agreement and I had a PPI scheduled he made up some story about having to leave the country for a business trip, while really doing a deal with another buyer just to get a few hundred extra bucks. The worst part is he knew that I was passing up on another GTS I had an opportunity to buy, which has since sold. Such a shame to see that from a fellow Rennlister. Anyway, my search for a GTS is officially back on.
Thank you to everyone for the continued leads. Please keep them coming.

Its bringing a tear to my eye that it is out of my budget especially that I'm looking for a guards red 997.2 otherwise you'd be getting a deposit. Its beautiful dude, good luck with sale.

There's no doubt this is one of the nicest builds I've ever seen but at 35k miles the ask is quite steep. A regular spec GTS with 35k miles is going to sell for around $70k. That means you're basically asking sticker price for all the options like PCCB and buckets. If a buyer does want to spend $96k, there are GTSs listed with as few as 3600 miles for that price. I think most buyers would go for the low mileage over the options. These are just my opinions. I'm sure there is a buyer out there somewhere, but it's going to be a tough sell unless "within reason" is $10k+.
