The 911 R at Mecum was a no sale at 300k. It did not have the full bucket seats but it had only 57 miles on it. Don't know if they had real money on it at 300K.

I don't think there was a real bid.

somewhat telling, although to get top dollar on these cars all the correct specs need to be there this had the smfw but no buckets is a problem, Imo that is one of the signatures of this model.

No need to repeat his well documented comments.

I remember placing a want ad on Rennlist a while back and being laughed off the board for asking if folks thought I would ever find a 911R at $350,000. Now they are not selling at 300,000. Boy have things changed in a relatively short period of time.

Then you should get real kick out of the 991 GT2RS pricing threads ... those in at $150k over will be there for awhile.

Interesting to see what the WhatsApp founder's R sells for, he's got a big part of his collection available for sale. His R even has all the delivery window stickers on it still, so literally showroom condition...

Thanks for all the replies and DMs. There's a lot out there, but I'm still in the hunt. At this point, I'm not settling. Very hard to find Tarpan interior. Guessing that was a 10% take, maybe.

As I wrote a while ago, when they were being offered at 500k+, R’s will be low 200’s cars — at a max 50k “numbered plaque” premium over a gt3 Touring. “Driven” R’s with >5k miles, less than that. This was tantamount to trolling then — today, maybe not so much.

Here is one at Newport....$289,900 & less than 600 miles on the clock! Looks like a pretty sweet build with the white microfiber seat inserts.

No Single Mass Flywheel, that is why it is affordable.

Drive safe,
