Hello members, new to Rennlist but long time follower. Not a fake ad or account. Just trying to sell to an enthusiast, the car is listed on Craigslist and it's killing me. My wife is due with our first child and it isn't going to make sense to have 3 cars anymore. I've owned this car for the past 2+ years and have put a lot into it. The obvious questions are answered but here are some more. No accidents, clean title, no issues. Front bumper was resprayed - the front end isn't peppered as a 93k car usually is. AC is ice cold, all works as it should.
Important Info:
IMS has been addressed. I went with "the solution" rather than the ceramic bearing. Now has the oil pressure fed bearing that never needs replacing. Clutch was done at the same time, less than 1,000 miles ago. Timing chain tensioners also replaced with proper units. Have receipts for all the work. I also have the original IMS bearing, no signs of failure. RMS & AOS replaced at the same service. Oil filler tube also replaced. All preventative.
Water pump replaced and full system flush this winter. At this time i also had a LN low temp thermostat installed. Never tracked, just wanted to keep temps nice and even. No issues with it.
Only use Joe Gibb's Driven oil for changes.
Bilstein replacements in all four corners.

Cons:
Front tires don't have much life left on them.
Couple of dings, nothing serious at all. Pictures are not touched up.
Window tint is pretty dark, not really a con unless its not your style.

UPDATE: Carfax in hand, all clear.

The reliability issues have been addressed, performance and driving dynamic is as it should be. Did not have a PPI done, if you want one done it would be at buyer's expense. Located in the Philly Suburbs. Shoot me a message or email if you're interested. Happy to provide more pictures or info as necessary. Thank you!

Love these '99 996's and this one has some great recent maintenance completed. I believe you meant to say PPI at buyers expense? Best of luck with the sale.

No, I believe that is option #220 and that is absent from the sticker. I'm not super familiar with the code option descriptions but maybe a fellow member can give a quick rundown?

You are correct. My 99 is essentially identical to yours. My 99 came with the sport package which included the limited slip, traction control, and lowered suspension. Codes 220, 224, and M030.

https://www.stuttcars.com/technical/...des/996-98-01/

I see you have the original alternator with the solid aluminum pulley that came on the early cars. The later cars had a clutched pulley to prevent shredding the accessory belt on down shifts that rapidly changed RPM. Mine went bad due to a bad ground. I had it rebuilt and stuck it in a box.

You car looks like it has aged really well. If I ever have to replace mine, I would look for one like yours. The 99s are the last of the almost entirely analog cars.
