This is preview to 3 911s I plan to officially put For Sale in the spring, but thought I would preview all 3, in the even any Rennlisters were interested sooner. A bit more information about this car (the text box didn't pull up.) I bought this car approximately 3 years ago from Penske Porsche in Cleveland, Ohio. No accidents, beautiful original paint/ beautiful interior - garage kept/ no weather ever. I believe this is 1 of 12 Turbo Targas in the U.S. Beautiful bluish/ grey color. COA and many service records from Penske Cleveland and Steinel's (a top Ohio 911 shop). The car was previously owned by the Mid-west PCA head. I have put close to $20,000 into it over the past year to make it perfect. Protosport just completed a full engine tune-up (examined head-studs etc.), and REBUILT the transmission with a Ruf lightweight clutch (approximately $10k). The car now shifts beautifully (had a worn 3rd gear syncho when I purchased). New tie rods, brake lines, and Bilsteins. Car is 100% original, except for Ruf clutch, Perma-tune ignition/ coil, reds brake pads, and tires. Beautiful color matched Fuchs on newer tires in good condition. Car in Northern New Jersey. Open to offers, but no low bill bids. Thank you.

Are you sure your car is midnight? It sure looks like a different blue to me, maybe Petrol? Regardless, beautiful car. GLWS.

I believe that's Venetian Blue or possibly Baltic Blue.

specialeed 02-14-2018 05:04 PM

Thanks, I had thought it was Venetian, but the COA says midnight? Just recently noticed that. No question it is original paint though.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but it does look a little bit like my 944S2's Baltic Blue Metallic. It might also be Diamond Blue Metallic. They're all great! Wish I had one of 'em on my GT4. Good luck with your sale!

My 87 is Venetian Blue, and it looks like the exact color to me. I think I read that they only offered that color in 87 and part of 88...gorgeous car and GLWS

Beautiful ride

It’s definitely Venetian Blue. I know the man who sold it to Penske. He is past president of Northern Ohio region of PCA.
We caravaned with him to Parade at St. Charles in 2010.

Yep, that's him! COA must have had the wrong color tag - like I say, I always thought it was Venetian.

Do you have a photo of the color tag inside the frunk (under the carpet on the passenger side inner fender well).
Or of the option sticker?
Either of those would confirm the correct color.

Car is down at shore right now - when I go down next, glad to take a look for you.
