This is my 1983 Targa. It is a few miles shy of 73,000 and has a clean title. I've owned it since late 2011. The 3.0 liter engine runs great but has the typical leaks here and there when it sits for the winter. The body is straight but the passenger side fender has a previous repair that was done poorly. I just installed the Euro Bosch headlights last summer. All of the rear suspension is brand new (shocks, torsion bar bushings, sway bar bushings and links, upper mount, etc.). The rims and tires are also brand new- Euromeister 17x7 and 17x9 with the fattest tires I could fit (or I still have the original Fuch rims if you prefer those instead). Both sets of rims are not included. The fenders have been rolled to prevent rubbing. The interior is also completely brand new. Leather and Alcantara-type microsuede inserts and door panels. The dash is original with no cracks. Momo prototipo steering wheel. New carpets throughout. Brand new OEM Porsche front left and right front seat belts. Clean glass all around. New Targa seals all around except for the one across the front- I purchased one but haven't installed it yet. Brand new Bluetooth Alpine radio and amplifier and Focal component speakers. Sounds amazing. The factory exhaust has been replaced with a stainless steel M&K muffler and the factory catalytic converter was hollowed out. There wasn't much left of it anyway. It sounds incredible. I'm sure my neighbors will be happy to see it go. Here are some links to YouTube videos I recently uploaded (hard acceleration:
normal drive by
). The only sort-of-negative about the car is the paint job. It's originally a burgundy metallic color and no R&I was done before it was painted black. It came with a turbo tail which I replaced with the factory engine lid. At that time I stripped the rear bumper and lower side skirts down to bare metal and had them repainted properly with the engine lid. All of the rubber in the rear is new as is the lower sheet metal air dam under the bumper. I also stripped the Targa bar down to bare metal and refinished that with the proper matte finish. It's a great driver quality car. The battery and alternator have been recently replaced. The turn signal switch assembly on the column is also new (OEM Porsche part). Has new brake light switches off the master cylinder. LED brake, tail, and turn signal bulbs have been installed - they are super bright! The AC compressor and condenser have been removed but I still have them and they will go with the car upon its sale. The compressor mount is still installed in the engine compartment. Electrically everything works except for the tach signal. Haven't figured that one out. I sent the tachometer to PASpeedo in California and it tested fine so it's got something to do with the signal. I still have many plans for the car but with three kids under six and a full time day job and busy side business I don't have time to finish it and it's giving me more anxiety than pleasure at the moment. I have too many project cars and this one I figured would have the greatest appeal which is why it's up first. I know the interior is not for everybody but it looks amazing in person. It's a great little car. I love it and would hate to see it go but time is not something I'm going to have more of as the days pass to follow through with all the plans I have for it. Thanks for your interest!

wonderful looking targa at a reasonable price. Nice work & GLWS - this is one I want long term, but it's not in the cards at the moment.

The suspension/wheels/exhaust setup is *perfect*

Great looking targa! Also near Chicago, have you done any compressions tests or are there any mechanical upgrades you would recommend? And guessing the "winter leaks" might just mean replacing the targa seals or door jams? Feel free to msg as well, interested! Thanks!
