Oh, the HUMANITY! Best to send this one straight to the junk yard.

I think it's a great build. I would have changed a few things, but there's nothing that's a deal breaker for me. LWBs are great and all, but I'm under no delusion anyone would have ever paid me to drive for them. The 18 ways in my BGTS are superb.
I like the seatbacks in leather. Not a big fan of carbon this and that, but wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. The car looks great in black. When clean. ;)
Frankly, I'm surprised how many units remain unsold across the country. I'm sure that'll change as the weather improves, but there are a lot of orphan Spyders out there right now. I would love one but I can't afford a third new Porsche in a year and I don't want to give up either of the two I have.

It looks gorgeous, but I have to say that a track car without a roof is borderline reasonable ;)
But if you are serious about canyon carving, this is the tool ;)

LWB don't work for everyone. I'm 6'0 225lbs with really wide shoulders. LWB's suck for my build.

It's shocking how many are unsold, but I'm sure that will change as the weather warms.

Yup, pretty much. :to_order: :p

Those seats are perfect for me. I love mine in my Spyder.
You are going to get the best deal while it is still winter.
There are more used Cayman GT4's on the market than new Spyder's. What is funny is that you cannot find any used Spyder's on the market. Perhaps the Spyder owners bought theirs because they wanted the car while GT4 owners bought their's to make a profit?

Raghu 02-09-2016 03:07 PM

Sorry, there is actually one 2016 used Spyder in california.

Unfortunately the sport buckets were no longer available when we built this car.

lol!!

Cool build. You can definitely tell the economy appears to be slowing as a lot of for sale threads aren't being marked as sold. What's the world coming to when you can't even get 100k over MSRP on a GT3RS? ;)

I spent a few fun hours a couple weeks ago locating ever Spyder I could find that had a reversing camera (I want one, but not without a cam). There were almost 40 listed, many with photos. I ran my list yesterday after work and fewer than 10 had sold. Now, some without photos may be "sold" already and carried as pending inventory, but neither of the two Cleveland dealers listed either of my two ordered cars last year on their inventory prior to arrival.
I think part of it is winter in a large swath of the country but I also think the economy is staggering for A LOT of people. Not many will be buying a toy car with their stock market winnings this Spring. And if the "free" money goes away for car loans, things may get even tighter.

Justin@Euroclassics 02-12-2016 10:19 AM

SOLD!

Ill be getting a Red Spyder with Sport buckets soon. Be on the look out.
