I purchased the 964 in February of 2012 with 42,997 miles from owner who had it in a climate controlled garage. Current garage has partial climate conditioning. Car seems to have had 2 previous owners, beginning its life in Princeton, NJ. Milage of 44,685 appears correct and it shows in the condition of the vehicle.
MECHANICAL:
Starts, runs, drives as one would expect a low milage 964 to. No smoke, leaks or squeaks.
INTERIOR: Easily a 9 out of 10.
• Interior is in excellent condition with minor wear on front seats.
• Most glaring deficiency of interior is the cracked glass on the fuel gauge.
(see pic)
• No rips, tears stains or excuses.
• Headliner like new
• Dash is free of warps or cracks
EXTERIOR:
Exterior the car is in fine shape. 8 out of 10
• Crazing on plastic brake light cover (see pic)
• Small paint touchup (at rear wheel well driver side) see pic.
• Minor ding on passenger side between wheel well (pin head size)
• Slight ding in passengers side front quarter panel (can only be seen from at a certain angle)
PAINT: good to excellent (see above)
Car did have previous paint work to hood probably for road chips. inspection at purchase it appeared to have never had any body work. Car shines up and gets thumbs up from strangers and will have folks taking photos of it while parked. You are in a fine, well preserved, classic. A rare, rare car for its age.
ACCIDENT:
While car appeared to have had no previous damage before I purchased it, I did manage to kiss a guard rail while goosing the throttle up an onramp. (October 2013) Damage was sustained to the drivers side front quarter panel. Car was meticulously repaired, always drove straight, fine and drives today as it did the day I purchased it. Drivers side headlamp is new and appears new compared to passenger side. All gaps appear correct. (see pics)
MAINTENANCE:
Work done while under my care;
• AC completely gone through, condenser replaced
• Speakers replaced, (original size) new radio with bluetooth
• Sunroof seal replaced, preventative
• Windshield seal replaced, tiny leak
• Rocker panel gaskets replaced, previous were loose, missing.
• Oli and regular maintenance done at TPWS in Austin
• Battery replaced.
Comes with original tool kit and manuals.
Car can be seen in Austin, Texas. (central)
