This is a good deal, I sold my R to get my .2 MT GT3. Although I am on love with the GT3 the R was right there with it from a fun factor. Everything stated above about these cars is true and I do miss mine. They are a blast on the street and will rip on the track. Below is a video of me in my R at Barber a while back....that sound! :) Good luck with the sale, this is a great price.

I'll just weigh in to again compliment the GT350R. Last month I traded my 911 (996 C4 Cab) for a GT350 (non-R). The Shelby engine sounds like nothing else and just keeps revving, the handling is fantastic (unless it rains, I'll never come close to the limits till I get it on the track), personally I like the interior, it seems as high quality as my 996 (yes, a low bar has been set), and it is very comfortable and pretty roomy in the interior, it has an overall wild, untamed, visceral feel. Its the most thrilling car I have personally owned ( note that I have never owned a GT3/GT2!). When my wife rode with me in the Porsche she may say slow down but seemed generally bored, in the Shelby she giggles the duration of the trip.
I still miss the Porsche a bit, the refinement advantage is obvious and the handling is very secure, while the Shelby can seem a little intimidating. The Porsche seems more usable in day to day driving, you can really wring it out with out getting too deep into felony territory - the Shelby will have you around 80 in 2nd, and well over 100 ( I hear! ) in 3rd, and 4th will have you pushing mach .2. Both are great cars, but the fun factor (what's a sports car for, after all) goes strongly to the GT350 in my opinion. Yes, I know the rattles will come with the Shelby, and my ambient light sensor dome already popped out on one side ( it works but it is just irritating to look at), but you can't have everything and get it for the price of loaded up pickup. Also, I wanted an R and tried to get comfortable in the Recaros but it was just not meant to be, so I have the little brother - still the same engine and all the fun, just a little more weight and a back seat (usable, my 17 year old daughter was fine back there!) And I can confirm this is a great deal - I could not find a new one for less than $20k ADM in New England in the couple of months I was looking. Someone's gonna have a good time... |
I like that this does not have the stripes.

As a reference and not a thread jack. Mine has about 8900 miles and is a 16. I’m at 66k so this price on a 17 is certainly solid! |
