What yours will look like in a few days...

I had a "reel" fun time mounting the hose reel and attaching the air hose to the regulator. Nothing was standard on my regulator or hose reel. Finally a 19 year old "air hose expert" at ACE hardware got me situated with the right hardware and hose- turns out he was not just an expert, but my savior last night! See some of you at THill tomorrow!

Here is my custom Brunnhoelzl jack. It's the lowest model available (in fact, it is so low, as I was rolling it across the paddock, I noticed that the front wheel didn't roll, it was scraping along on the lift arms!). I had Brunnhoelzl fabricate a custom lift plate that meshes with the hat of a JP jackstand. Powder coated in purple to match my girl, Violet!

My first time towing an enclosed. Sadly, it wasn't my new 24' TPD. And no... I didn't hit anything, or run anything over, or cause any damage! LOL

I suffered a big dose of trailer envy this weekend when Montoya rolled in, new 26' triple axle TPD in tow. And the winch! Oh!!! The winch! What a thing of beauty! I should have got a Warn!!!

I have a Superwinch S5000 in my enclosed trailer and like it as well as any similarly powered Warn. What did you get?

Once you get the trailer and if you installed a winch these are two must haves. First, ditch the wire cable and replace it with the synthetic winch rope below. Then get the simple wireless remote kit from summit and you will be king of the paddock. Winching your car will be much easier and safer with these two products. I've used both these products for 6 years and have had zero issues with both. I pull a Viper race car (not the lightest race car) in and out of the trailer and the system works great. Makes loading up the car on Sunday afternoon just a little easier. Best of luck.

It's no April Fools. Today's progress photos clearly show I'm days away from crossing that finish line!

Hi Scott, I traversed the paddock this past weekend looking for you. I just wanted to say hi and thank you for all the great feedback.

I got the Superwinch as well, but I did upgrade to the synthetic rope. The Warn that I saw in Montoya's trailer was very well built. It too has synthetic rope, but it also sports a wireless remote. My favorite part (besides the build quality) was the huge stainless steel, mirror polished guide block. It was massive! I watched Montoya winch his RS into his trailer and it was so quick, easy and dirt-simple.

I was there on Saturday but only as a spectator. I should be at the PRC event at Thunderhill (4/12 - 4/14) but that could change.

I think the remote control is overrated *if* you have someone with you. Even by yourself it's not that big of a deal. You use the thing twice per event....

I have the steel rope now and will get the synthetic rope sooner or later.
