Does anyone have experience with the updated Timpte lowering trailers? They updated their car haulers to a hydraulic lowering system vs the old cable operated system. The old lower system was similar to the Futura trailers. Folks at the track and here on Rennlist advise against the cable operated system. I currently have a Trailex CT-7551 but would like the loading simplicity of a lowering trailer for my 981 Cayman GTS track car.
I have a 2024 model 720. I had a small hydraulic leak when new, but they worked with me on the repair. I identified the suspect components, and they sent me the replacement fittings and a gallon of fluid so I could repair it myself. The dealer was four hours away, and since they already failed to fix it when identified prior to delivery I had no confidence in making the trek down there again. I’ve had no issues since then, but some owners have had some problems with the fender attachment.
Totally love my hydraulic 720 EZ. I was fine with my GT3 RS in my enclosed goose, but now also run a Z06 that is just to wide to get into the enclosed goose. Just turn on front cameras and drive on. Raise with the remote and almost ready to go. Does not charge from the trucks 7 pin. But I bought a solar charger and it gets the job done.

why? that's about the only area i have had no issues on my futura with. ok maybe the original generation steel cables were not great but the synthetic ones on mine are just fine.
the "quick release" version of my fenders is anything but, the release pins/buttons on the tongue box fail repeatedly, if a remote stops working you have to replace the remote AND winch AND wiring (all keyed together) but to date i have had ZERO issues with the cable system for raising and lowering.

The Trailex is for sale if anyone is interested.
FYI - do NOT buy a Timpte. They've been having issues with fenders flying off and damaging cars. They're not made well. Worst part is their customer service - they told my friend they'd send him a care package in lieu of taking responsibility for $5k in damages that their fender caused to his car lol. Jerks.

FWIW, I have had no issues with the fenders on my 2024 720. Timpte has come out with a retrofit campaign to replace the 5/16-18 fasteners with 3/8-24. Dealers will do the install free, but I opted to DIY mine to save 12 hours driving. Timpte is sending me $400 for my trouble.
This made me LOL — appreciate you sharing. Hard to believe it’s gotten this bad. They really should’ve owned the design flaw early on, addressed it, and taken care of the people affected when it first started surfacing over a year ago. Shame they gave customers the middle finger when the problem was pointed out.
