Pulled the trigger on a new ATC CH305
Picking her up on Saturday. This will be my second ATC. Finally got one the way I wanted. Already ordered some strap hangers and fuel jug holders from Arrow products. Got aluminum fold out ramps and an aluminum tire rack. My truck came provisions for tpms and cameras that I’ll install. Planning on adding a comeup winch, a fold out bench, electronic awning, a tv, air conditioning and a generator. Any suggestions please share.

Awesome trailer...best of luck with it! I’m in the market and looking at ATC , Intech, trailex, Sundowner.
What made you choose ATC? Also where did you buy it and if you don’t mind what did you pay. Thanks Jan |

Thanks again. Jan if you’re in Jersey you are closer than me to them. I picked it up. |
Sorry... I saw in your first post that you picked it up. I just mapped it, I’m about a three hour drive.
Thanks again for the info and safe travels and have fun with the new rig! Best Jan |

Thanks Jan InTech: Notoriously expensive, very high quality I am told, Trailex: You get those narrow ramps, the same ones they have on their open trailers, the trailers are light. I had a Trailex Open and those narrow ramps scared me...always thinking that I was going to drive off, never did. Sundowner: Looked at one, very high quality build, but they are heavy. The 20' I was looking at weighs 4,200 Lbs....1,200 too much. I bought my ATC 20' present from 99 West out of Portland OR. The owner Peggy is a straight shooter....no BS, and she has race experience which makes her fun to talk to. She has got some great stories. . Paid about $23,000, delivered to my door. It was in inventory so I diidn't have to wait for it to be built. |
Towed down to VIR from NYC for the first time with the new rig. Felt great once I got the proper tongue weight set

Congrats on the trailer! Looks like a great rig, I'm considering an similarly equipped ATC. Couldn't help but notice what appears to be taller uprights on the Getty wing.....curious where you got those?

thank you the trailer quality is great, I would highly recommend over other brands. I got the uprights from speedsport tuning. I believe they custom make them. |
Quality of ATC
"thank you the trailer quality is great, I would highly recommend over other brands."
I may have put up a similar post earlier...too lazy to search the thread. I second the motion. I am on my second ATC 250. The first one I got about four years ago, sold it when I thought I didn't need an enclosed trailer, what was I thinking? Got my present ATC 250, 20' trailer, late in 2019. I was shocked to see that the quality had gotten even better, they are now a little more expensive, but worth it. The key criterion for me was that my new trailer have an Escape Door of the side of the trailer, next to the driver's door on my car. That limited the search somewhat. My ATC dealer was 99/West out of Sherwood (near Portland, OR). Worked with Peggy the owner, incredible experience. I live 800 miles from her dealership, she arranged for shipping, had a winch installed for me....Peggy has git some great race car stories, and camped next to my driving hero, Paul Newman, back in the day. peggyw@99westtrailers.com |

They're actually not significantly more expensive than any of the competitors. Depending on the options, they can actually end up cheaper than a comparable ATC (assuming you don't check every box). The beauty with them is they're more a la carte, which is different than their competitors where you pick a package and then choose some options. They do have packages, but they're not completely rigid, and you can add or delete options. Basically there is no need to buy things you don't want. e.g. You don't want everything in the Lite, so you downgrade to the TAG and add the options you want from the Lite. The only complaint, besides lead time, is they do seem to end up slightly heavier than competitors. I haven't actually seen a comparison as to where the additional weight comes from, so it's hard to say whether it's actually stronger/stiffer or just not optimized. |
Any updates to your trailer?! I'm considering making the move from open to enclosed.
