Default how many batteries are in your trailer?

Curious, why ATC built mine with 3 deep cycles, unless that is needed for the Onan gen set? Looking to free up both weight, but more importantly cabinet space. I have an electric jack, and winch, but two batteries, or even one, are more than sufficient for those.

Are all (3) batteries wired together?

I have one deep cycle marine battery and it handles the lights, winch and electric jack. So long as I keep it on a battery tender I have never had a problem. Three seems excessive, heavy and expensive when it is time to replace them.

It must be something with the gen set then, which is weird because I can see an extra battery as a starter battery, but not three.

Same here.... I've only got (1) deep cycle battery that powers everything.....lights (lots), lots of outlets, winch and electric jack.

That's a pretty sweet "house" battery setup, assuming there is a inverter for 110v use. Did you spec the trailer or did it come that way? Might have been for a solar option. I wonder how it's charged.

I have a 35' trailer with all LED lighting, winch, and hydraulic lift. It came with 2 batteries.

Not to high jack but if you add a second battery (and they are not both new) will the new battery be overcharged?
