Base 24' Intech - weight & balance (GT4) - ref info only
Did a weight and balance with and without my car I had the car in 2 different positions. The trailer has no cabinets and vinyl walls/ceiling and escape door as options.
Empty weight of trailer is 3560 lbs per Intech.
Weight of car with full tank of fuel is 3130 lbs per title.
Weight and balance was determined via the bathroom scale method.
1) Empty trailer had a 380 lbs (10.75%) tongue weight
2) Rear axle of GT4 centered over rear axle of trailer had a 690 lbs (10.33%) tongue weight.
3) Rear axle of GT4 moved 12" forward of rear trailer axle had a 780 lbs (11.67%) tongue weight.

Isn't this a bit too heavy for an empty base aluminum 24' trailer? I thought steel ones were supposed to be around 4000 lbs and aluminum around 2500-3000lbs. Is this due to the extra sturdy (premium) frame and all the insulation/walls?

Considering my weight, the fact he has a side exit door, his seems inline with others I've seen. Also, the ATC trailers I viewed at their factory, with Data plates installed were in a similar weight range. I think it's possible to get one at a lighter weight, but it'd just be a plain box.
