2016 Porsche GT3 RS
For sale, my 2016 Porsche GT3 RS. In the year it was released, it was the fastest road going Porsche produced. The first RS civil enough to be driven daily yet still hard core enough to do lap after lap on track and always come back for more. It is truly one of the greatest dual use 911's ever built.
Info on the car:
The Good:
- This is a no stories, no paint work, no excuses car - owned by a long time PCA member / National Instructor. The car and owner(s) are both well known on Rennlist (me/SSTHO).
- I am the 2ndowner; the first owner is one of my closest friends (SSTHO).
- Light driver focused build with everything you need and nothing you don't
- Porsche CPO factory warranty until October 2021 or 100,000 miles! **updated 6/10/19...it's actually longer!
- Entire body wrapped in Xpel clear bra in 2018.
- Track safety mods: BBi roll bar powder coated white; Schroth 6pt harnesses
- Porsche Motorsports caliper stud kit installed for easier brake pad changes
- Racing Technologies RE10 brake pads, Endless brake fluid
- Exclusive Options Bolster Protectors with matching stitching on driver's and passenger seats since near new.
- Meticulously maintained from new
- Recent refresh with all new Michelin Pilot sport cup tires, front fender liners, front fender screens, new front lip, fresh oil, brake bleed and mock PPI to look for anything that needed attention.
There was nothing.
- No significant mechanical issues ever with full service history
- Have manuals, both keys and the original window sticker. Tool kit, center lock tool and center cap removal tool all present.
- Possibly the least expensive CPO'd 991.1 GT3 RS on the market with fully known ownership history and documentation. CPO'd without dealer premium!
- Get a 991.1 RS for less than a 991.2 GT3; close to the price of a 991.1 GT3
- They say you buy the seller and that's true here too. I have yet to have an unsatisfied buyer for any car I've ever sold. I take great care of my cars; represent them accurately and sell at fair prices.
The Less Good:
- Car originally imported from British Columbia, Canada. Imported properly and titled in California. Why less good? Despite the fact that all cars manufactured for North America are the same, Canadian cars carry a stigma to some. I honestly can't see why. There is no meaningful difference between this and a US car besides where it landed from Germany.
- The car currently has 20,xxx miles. While many have purchased these cars as "investments", this car was purchased to drive and enjoy. The GT3 RS is a robust car and feels the same today as new. No squeaks or rattles. Further, the car is covered by Porsche factory warranty for another 26 months and more miles than anyone could drive it during that time.
- As a driver, this car is not a bubble wrap museum piece. That is not to say the car is ridden hard and put away wet. It has been detailed and maintained to the highest standards. There are some small minor costmetic blems but overall the car is a solid 9/10.
- The car has been lightly tracked (shocking; I know). Every mile on track during my ownership has been documented in a spreadsheet to track center lock hub time out (and just because I'm ****). To date, that is 626 miles. Approx 200 from the prior owner for a grand total of 828 track miles.
The Bad:
- None really
Options:
- Full leather interior; GT silver stitching
- 90L fuel tank
- Sound Package Plus
- Seat belts in black
- Luggage net passenger footwell
- Smoking package
- Floor mats
- PCM including navigation
- Wheels painted in Satin Black
- Headlight cleaning system painted in exterior color
General Info:
- The car is located in Northern California
- Title currently held by my credit union but will be paying off shortly for ease of sale/transaction
- Able to assist with shipping anywhere in the US
- Happy to assist with pre-purchase inspection at buyer's expense
- I can include the Porsche center lock breaker bar and Torque wrench for a nominal extra charge.
Other Questions:
Q: Why are you selling your RS so cheap? There MUST be something wrong with it?
A: There is zero wrong with this car. The price reflects the mileage, the soft GT3 market and the fact it was imported from Canada.
Q: Yeah, what's up with the Canadian importation? Cars from Canada seem to be treated like they have Ebola or something.
A: All Porsche cars for the N. American market are the same. The only discernable differences I can find between a US an CN car are: 1. The KM analog speedometer; 2. The lack of Homelink. That's it. Everything else is the same. Original and CPO warranties are in full effect in the US. My local dealer can verify this to any interested parties.
For what it's worth, this will not be a fire sale and I'm not desperate to get rid of the car. If it doesn't sell, I'm happy to keep and enjoy it.
