Akrapovic 991.1 GT3 Titanium Headers and Race Pipes
For SaleEngine - Exhaust
Description:
As the title states, up for sale is a set of Akrapovic 991.1 GT3/RS titanium catted headers and race pipes. The set up is lightly used and does not include the center muffler. One can buy the Akrapovic Center muffler if you want to complete the full exhaust ( used ones pop up here every so often) or use this as an opportunity to complete the exhaust if you already have the slip on. Can probably use this with the stock center muffler as well but I've never tried. I have been also told this works with a 991.2 GT3/RS.
Comes with L/R titanium catted headers, L/R titanium link pipes, 2x block off plates for center muffler and 2x clamps for the header to the race pipe.
$3750 + shipping (if necessary). Located in NYC.

It'll be louder than stock when mated with the stock center muffler or an Akrapovic center muffler but not straight pipe loud. I don't have an exact db number, sorry.

Please, don't contact me until Suren27 sells his set, as I'm going to throw mine on ebay (plus I have 2 other sets of 991.2 GT3 header that will be for sale, and 2 or 3 exhausts depending on what I decided to stay with).
You can use these headers with the Akrapovic link pipes and the stock exhaust, but you will need two upper caps for the stock center muffler, and a machine shop to increase the inner diameter on the lower gasket connecting the L-pipe to the stock center muffler (or contact me and I will sell you a set of the special round gaskets).
You can optionally do the FVD L-pipes, and use a lightly modified stock exhaust clamp (the one that joins the stock headers to the stock side mufflers), the modification takes 30 minutes and allows the FVD (or any stock compatible) side pipes to connect the Akrapovic headers and any stock compatible muffler (or you can contact me for the special clamps).
These headers make serious power, both in the 991.1 GT3RS and 991.2 GT3RS. I have a lot of VBox data from my two cars with these headers. Akrapovic claims a 22hp increase, and I think the claim is underrated, because my 991.1 GT3RS (now gone) on these headers outran my 991.2 GT3RS on the stock exhaust consistently.
Akrapovic is in my opinion and experience, the top of any aftermarket exhaust manufacturer. They actually developed the factory exhaust for the 997 GT2 RS.
In regards to sound tone/quality, they increase the volume (sound level) by a factor of 1, with 1 being quiet, 10 being the loudest, 3 being the stock 991 GT3 with valves closed, 6 being the stock GT3 exhaust with the valves open, the car gets louder, and gains power all across the powerband, but it is perfectly driveable on the streets (still not loud to my standards). Right now I run the stock headers, stock cats, JCR Silenced Race Pipes, and Soul Silenced Exhaust Tips, and my car is much louder than the Akrapovic headers combined with the stock center GT3RS muffler. Be aware that these headers delete the side mufflers, you cannot run these headers with the stock side mufflers, as the headers extend 1" beyond the stock headers/
Cats are 100-cell, they are fine in the 991.1 GT3, but the 991.2 GT3 they can throw a CEL, my headers have custom inserts to avoid the CEL in the 991.2.
The price is a steal, I would not let my set go this cheap, just the Titanium work/material to get them made exceeds the asking price from the OP.
Feel free to post here for questions. I will ignore PMs asking for my set (and additional accessories) unless Suren27 has publicly confirmed that his set has sold. These things pop on the market once a year or more, I hunted my set for over 2 years. You can buy lesser quality headers at the same or higher prices, I have some experiences with some of them, as I have run 18 different exhaust configurations between the 991.1 GT3RS and 991.2 GT3RS, and I'm still searching for the perfect solution for my own use.

Wow - thanks for the informative post and the good word! Appreciate it! Good luck with your sale as well. 18 different exhaust set ups is crazy ! What's been missing that you keep switching it up ?
I do have the block off plates but they are not pictured here.
