12k miles and I’m almost done with these Pirelli. They grip like crazy with G forces way more than a car this heavy should.
How much would I hate the Goodyear touring tires? The conti seem to have a much higher tread wear rating. I’d be ok with a bit more 300 range. I’d love to get more wear … the summer options are all 200-ish.
I have the `Electric Vehicle Tuned' Continental ProContact RX 21" all seasons (500 A A) it came with, rides and corners well.
Probably not what you're looking for, but for the winter I was thinking of going with the skinny Momo Toprun M300 AS Sport 20" all seasons on spare wheels.
Ginny will paint them black for an extra $100 each, and swap the temporary tire for the Momo for $35 each.
The reduced rolling resistance should be good for a few extra miles.
I have been pleased with the 20 inch contis that came on the car, @21k miles I am replacing them with the same. I probably could get a few thousand more miles out of them but the car is a lease and I will be forced to replace the tires upon return so I figure I might as well put the tires on now and enjoy having new rubber on the car.
I've had two Taycans and across them have had Michelin PS4 (20'), Conti Procontact RX (21''), and Pirelli PZ4(21"). These are heavy cars and they eat up tires, especially if you drive in low mode.
This probably won't be a popular opinion, but I like the Contis. Call them "no seasons" or whatever you want, I used to be a summer/winter set swapper too, but IMO, all seasons suit this car, especially the cross turismo. I have 15k miles on them and they are at 7/32. They're pretty quiet, over 1G lateral on the dash thing, worked perfectly fine in a Northeast winter, and it looks like they'll make it 30k miles. Only downside I can think of is you lose a bit of steering feel over the summers.

Thx.
my 2020 Taycan has had the following tires
Factory - Conti - all season - range was easy 250 miles - 270-290 if I was trying
Goodyears - range dropped to 210 - didn't much feel/see grip difference
Back to Conti all seasons - range is restored to solid 260's for most purposes
personally as a daily driver I value the additional range over the incremental grip - YMMV (literally).
I find the Conti's accetable because it's not a track car!

interesting, didn't consider the range aspect... thats a huge difference.
The goodyears you mention above, is that for the all season or for their summer tire?
I got the good year summer factory tires from my Porsche dealer - car's range was never the same with them on
36,xxx miles
since putting the conti back on it's back to with in striking distance of my original range experience - I gotta blame the tires…consumption data also tells me this is true - was never better than 2.6 mi/kWh w/Good year - and I"m back in the 2.8-3.1 range with the Conti's…
honestly I'm sure some people will swear by the grip difference, but on a 5,100 sports sedan I have a really realy hard time caring, especially with the range hit.

I have the Pirelli P Zeros summer tires on my GTS and I corded the inside of my fronts after 17k miles because I was driving the car in the lowest height (lesson learned). The fronts and rears have about 3/32 tread left at 17k so the tires are good for about 20k miles +/- but for my GTS ST I got all season tires because I want more range.
I just replaced my OEM 21” Goodyear Eagle Touring all-seasons at 15,xxx miles with the 21” Conti ProContact Rx. After about 500 miles, Conti’s seem to have similar grip, less road noise, less squirrely on the interstate, and a bit more compliant ride. Although same exact size, the Conti’s appear to have a bit more sidewall appearance.
If your still reading, the interesting part is that my dealer replaced all four tires, mount and balance for free due to an alleged recall of the Goodyears. Two weeks ago I had a tire puncture that could not be patched and flatbedded it to dealer for replacement. SA called me next day to inform me of the GY recall and the cost for all four tires would be covered. I could not find any info on a recall, and in 20 vehicles I’ve owned have never heard of such a thing. Anyway, saved me $1500 so I’m not questioning it, and brand new rubber at all four corners.
Interesting. I have't decided on direction yet, I'm honestly leaning to keeping summer tires... I got quotes from dealer and their installed prices are almost same as delivered from Tire rack. Color me SURPRISED. Must be good margins on tires...
