Hello people,

Got my Taycan "Certificate of Participation" yesterday in the mail, sent by Porsche USA. Wondering if anyone or everyone here, who have had deposits placed, got theirs by now? I know it doesn't mean much at this point, but nice to get something directly from the company and not the dealership.

Awesome! Does the number at the bottom of the certificate mean anything? I placed my deposit in December 2018

I got mine last week. Certificate # 2641

In Europe we don't get those Certificates. I was told it was a pure vanity thing, designed by the dealers and not by Porsche. And I've put my deposit down in October. Go figure.

Agreed on the vanity aspect. Doesn't add much value other than some kind of confirmation. However, the letter is direct from Porsche corporate and the not the dealerships.

You are probably right. I kinda hoped it's not Porsche itself who would do stuff for customers overseas, but not for ones back in Europe, like my dealer said. Especially considering where the roots of the brand are. Sigh.

I think it's just a nice way of saying "thanks for believing in something you pretty much have no idea about".

Got mine back in January...#2219 if that means anything.

Lol! exactly my thoughts.
I had received a similar one from "Elon Musk" back in April 2016 for putting down a deposit on the Model 3. Never purchased one and took my deposit back. wonder if history will repeat
