Wow - what a fantastic experience! I can’t even imagine how nerve-wracking (and thrilling) that would be. I was at Le Mans every year the 919 ran, and I was excited just to see the damn thing.
To pull 4G’s is truly amazing, especially in the rain. For reference, the the totally insane, unrestricted 919 Evo driven by Timo at the Nurburgring last month only topped 4G’s once... and that was a world record run! At the Galgenkopf stretch, he briefly passed 4G’s going through the turn at 235kph. Timo even had to do neck exercises and physical therapy for a month prior to the run so he could tolerate the extreme lateral forces.
Truly incredible!

Very cool! Silly question CJ but can anyone get into a car w sequential tranny like this and drive it? Obviously very few could drive it at speed like a pro, but is it physically hard to navigate the electronics, put it in gear, drive it out of the pits etc without looking like an idiot? I'm thinking of those old videos where an average Joe tries to drive an F1 car and can't keep it from stalling.

How fast was Dempsey? Do tell.

Burning Brakes
My bet is that CJ lead, closely followed by McDreamy, and Magneto a distant last for lap times.
That 919 lapped Spa faster than all (but the current) F1 cars, so that's likely the fastest closed cockpit race made. I'm still learning to trust the downforce on a street 991.1 GT3 RS at high speed turns (and the braking from high speed too).
So awesome!! Thanks for sharing it.
