Some car maker should license the Jetson car sound. (Actually I'm surprised Elon hasn't been all over this yet...):

According to this article, we will get an adjustable sound which can be disabled if you prefer the silence.

I’d like it if my Taycan could sound like this...

(regardless, I think Porsche should definitely hire this guy and his Moog synthesizer to figure out the right sound....)

apparently the path forward to "engine" sound is fully engineered even in current 992 911's

flap controllers take orders from electric stepper motors and provide a wider range of sound. Even so, the sound symposer first installed on the 991 series has added a second, switchable channel behind the rear trim panel to pipe more aural sensation into the cabin.
personally I don't miss the engineer noise in my EV's and never was an "exhaust guy" - but I understand some people need the aural stimulation.
