Emblem delete for me, Pcars could not have come up with a dumber name than Taycan, don't care what it means. Mission E sounds cooler. IMHO. Too close to Macan. and your most fierce E competitor's brand starts with T so not sure if there is an underlying suggestive marketing there. Probably. But still, let's see what it looks like up close. My local dealer is having the 992 unveiling this Saturday and rumor has it they will have a demo Mission E on the floor as well. If so will post some pics to this group.

Porsche Monmouth only took a $500 deposit from me and I got the certificate this week also. Ask for Lori.

Thanks for that information on the $500.

Is this car a hatchback or does it have a trunk?

I put down a deposit, then canceled when I suspected the production version won’t look like the concept. Still received a certificate.

Demo cars have been touring for about a year now, everything looks the same but the suicide doors. Have you actually seen the car in person?

No, just rumor from Porsche people at an IMSA event. I also felt that it’s too large for what I want. I’ll be shopping for an i3 replacement.

Interesting the certificates are numbered. I wonder if the # has anything to do with place in potential future order queue.

Curious, which demo cars are you referring to? I would love to see if there is something that I missed that is different than mules. The car that I've seen in person a few months back at PEC Atlanta was the white Mission-e concept. The mules that have been testing, including the recent test with Georg Kacher have more differences than the just the suicide doors (e.g., a definite difference in curvature with regard to door line and rear).

Could people share what they have being asked to put down for deposits recently? I have seen from zero to $1000 in earlier posts. My local dealer is asking $2500 refundable which seems ridiculous. I'd like to support them, but I am more than happy to shop around.

Thx,

medp
