Just picked up an original, 1-owner '72 914 with 83k. The family misplaced the hubcaps and I need a set. Anyone have a set or a lead on some? Thanks~

 

May have a set- they are basically VW hubcaps without the VW symbol in the middle. Probably under a bunch of stuff in the attic as I've had them for nearly 40 years! Put on different wheels right after I got it so they are in good shape if I can find them...

 

BTW, that car looks real clean in that picture!

 

Let me know if you can find them, that would be swell. Yeah this 'pup is a sweetheart. All kinds of period documentation and a dealer stamped service booklet all the way up until recently.

 

That picture brings back memories of my auto crossing in the early 70's - nice Alfa parked next to it...haven't had a chance to dig yet- will let you know...

(and I had that same "bra" for a while on mine way back when...)
