Harness on Spyder LWBs
Hi, I have recently encountered an older thread on this page regarding installing 6-point harnesses on the 987 Boxster Spyder: https://rennlist.com/forums/spyder-c...her-setup.html
While the thread provides some useful information and links, it has not been updated in nearly a decade, and I was wondering if there is any updated information on owners installing harnesses. The 6-point harness would really complete the look, not to mention the utility of our Spyders. Can anyone provide any information? Thanks!

Plenty of people running them. I don't think anything has changed in the last decade regarding installation.
I ended up with an extra Brey Krause R-9032 sub strap mount for the driver side seat. I'm currently using one of them with the extinguisher mount in my car. $110 for the spare.

Got it, thanks for the reply. So if I am understanding the original thread correctly, if I want to install harnesses on both driver and passenger seats, I will need 2x Enduro 2x2 harnesses (https://www.schrothracing.com/item/enduro-2x2), and 2x of each R-9003 and R-9004 mounting kits?

I don’t think you need the R9003/4 mounting kits. The OP from the first thread you linked noted he didn’t use the eyelets, but rather just the spacers. Not sure why he did that, but you don’t need separate eyelets for our buckets. The lap belts bolt on the outside of the stock 3-point belt, and then outboard the set belt receptacle on the inside of the seat. You certainly could mount the “outer” lap belt to the original seat belt bolting point on the frame, which is what that kit does, but you don’t need to.
