Wanted: Spec Boxster Exhaust
Hey all,
I am looking for a manifold back exhaust system for my spec boxster. Right now I am having trouble matching the stock manifold flanges to my current exhaust setup. Instead of tracking down a set of test pipes, I figured I would check on here to see if anyone has any used full systems for sale that will mate right up to the stock manifolds.
Some of the new systems I see for sale seem overpriced for what they are. (AWE, Fabspeed, etc.)
I'd prefer to have a setup with some small resonators/mufflers as oppose to straight pipes, but let me know what you have and how much $$. I am considering going the custom route, but we'll see.

JPC/Dawe built the exhaust for my SPB, as well as quite a few others I can think of (Dawe is creator of the famed "Yikes Pipe"). Highly recommend, but only if you want the car to go faster and be louder

Dyno of one of my exhausts
This is a dyno of one of the three SPB exhausts that I designed and built, it was installed on a SPB that has never had the motor opened up, no refreshing, just fresh tune up parts.
I'm sure I could find a little more hp/tq with a fresh valve job and an engine refresh.
First run was with coolant warm but trans fluid cold, by run 6 trans fluid was warm too.
I don't run any super light weight viscosity oils, all normal spec stuff.

Pic of mine
Pic of mine at exit, stock 2.5 headers, I build new flanges, all stainless steel pipe, two rebuildable mufflers so they pretty much last forever with a little maintenance so long as you don't bend them up.
Obviously there is more to it than just the tips and mufflers but it's not just simple bent pipe, lots of R&D time as well as building them is much more than just bending some pipe.
Dang, and yes, pic is upside down, just flip your monitor over,LOL.

SPB exhaust
I'll have two of my SPB exhausts at the track in December and try to get some video clips of one of them running down the front straight at TWS for a better more realistic sound clip.

Fabspeed cat delete pipes will bolt directly onto the stock headers + TopSpeed catback performance exhaust. Use the stock U-shaped mid-pipes. This is a direct bolt-on solution. The cat delete pipes have bungs for the O2 sensors.
Total price is under $1000.

Here is how it looks underneath with the stock cat on the left and the cat bypass pipe on the right with the sport muffler.
From the rear...
On the lift...
Total price is under $1000.

Topspeed makes cat delete pipes as well, that drops the price down to around $560 for cat delete and cat back exhaust.

That's what I was looking for. I already have a catback system, so these delete pipes will work perfect. Thanks!
