actually, it did say PCA.

Now, looks like Tarett is taking the MCS notes down. I’m sure PCA CR will be coming out with something soon. 🙂

Why is all this seemingly happening in the dark?

Well, if you go to the suspension designer for Spec Boxster suspension it does still list "MCS Coil Over Kit $3525"
https://www.tarett.com/items/suspens...SPB-detail.htm

I suspect we'll hear a change announced. Pity I bought the other shocks but what can you do.

sure hope that price comes down.

it would be good to see side by side dyno sheets of PSS9 vs new shock

Agreed on both points. Unless there is data and some real numbers here, its just a couple test sessions with some good drivers in Texas putting this forward. Very happy that it solves the supply issue, which is to me the biggest issue but it would be great to have a full narrative here that addresses the technical and business needs.

If they are a better shock that's a problem. Who is making this decision? Where is this conversation happening?

Looks like these will be double adjustable (no remote reservoir) based on MSRP on the MSC site. http://motioncontrolsuspension.com/a...tions-pricing/

I can't say I really want to have to spend the money to upgrade if these turn out to be better than the PSS9s.

I imagine it will be the single adjustable, but who knows

When the tarett site was still active it said single adjustable.

That looks great. Just what we’re looking for. Reasonable price also.

I swear that SPB line wasn't on the MSC site when I looked. I was basing my guess off of the $3,525 price still listed on the Tarett page and double adjustable price for the 986 boxster ($3550) the line below the SPB listing.

It might not have been, and that’s a reasonable inference to make

The dyno plots for the single adjustable on the MCS website look really nice, very linear, and in line with the range of the PSS9’s.

Hoping to to see an announcement from PCA soon.
